Packaging composite material comprising polarizing films and packaging comprising said material

Disclosed in the present invention is a packaging composite material comprising polarizing films, the packaging composite material comprising: a polarizing layer, comprising two or more layers of polarizing film, wherein polarization directions of at least two layers of polarizing film have an included angle which is not 0°. The packaging composite material of the present invention has a simple structure, strong light-blocking properties, a high light-blocking rate, and a broad-spectrum light-blocking effect. Also disclosed in the present invention are the use of the packaging composite material in packaging, and the use of the packaging composite material in a label. When used as packaging or a label, the packaging composite material can extend the shelf life of products which need to be stored in the dark.

Multilayer Films have a first skin layer that is prepared from a high density polyethylene and a second skin layer (also referred to as the sealant layer) that is prepared from a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) having a density of from 0.90 to 0.92 g/cc and a Dilution Index, Yd, of greater than 0°. Seals can be prepared by placing two pieces of this film against each other such that the sealant layers are in contact with each other, then applying heat to at least one high density skin layer such that heat is transmitted/conducted through the multilayer film in a sufficient amount to melt the sealant layer and form a seal. The use of LLDPE having a Dilution Index of greater than 0° has been found to improve the sealing performance of multilayer films in comparison to multilayer films where the sealant layer is a conventional LLDPE having a Dilution Index of less than 0°.

PACKAGING FOIL COMPRISING A LUMINESCENT COMPOUND

The invention relates to a multi-layered packaging foil comprising a layer L-1 having an oxygen gas transmission rate OGTR-1; a luminescent compound having the property that its luminescence is capable of being quenched by oxygen; and a layer L-2 adhering to L-1 and to the luminescent compound. The layer L-2 has an oxygen gas transmission rate OGTR-2 that is at least 20 times higher than OGTR-1, and the luminescent compound is present between L-1 and L-2. The invention further relates to a packaging comprising a packaging foil of the invention and to a method for measuring the oxygen content in a packaging.

Manually Openable Flexible Film Package

The present invention is directed to packages having a thermoformed product receiving cavity for containing the product formed from a first flexible heat shrinkable film and a lidding film covering the thermoformed product receiving cavity formed from a second flexible non-heat shrinkable film. The present invention also includes an opening tab on each of the two flexible films which are aligned with each other such that each of the tabs has a sufficient surface area facing the other tab but not adhered to it to render each tab readily manually graspable. The opening tab of the first flexible heat shrinkable film includes a distal portion which is curled to improve its graspability.

Provided herein are liners, for example, for storing or dispensing high purity chemicals, as well as methods of manufacturing such liners. The liners resist formation of stress-induced breaches. In one aspect, the liner includes a film formed into a liner capable of retaining a liquid. The liner has a first barrier layer to a gas (e.g., oxygen); a second barrier layer to the gas (e.g., oxygen); and at least one additional layer of material disposed interstitially between the first barrier layer and the second barrier layers.

A laminate vial includes a first laminate sheet including an outer paper layer and a middle barrier layer joined with the outer layer, the middle barrier layer joined with an inner layer formed of a plastic material. Also included is a second laminate sheet including an outer paper layer and a middle barrier layer joined with the outer layer, the middle barrier layer joined with an inner layer formed of a plastic material. The first laminate sheet is joined to the second laminate sheet to define a seal and a cavity. Recycled materials may be used in all of the layers of the laminate.

Insulation blanket having a deposited passivator for industrial insulation applications
11680672 · 2023-06-20 · ·

A passivating flexible insulation blanket positionable about a pipe includes an insulation core, an enclosing fabric, and a non-consumable passivator. The insulation core is substantially hydrophobic and includes a microporous material. The enclosing fabric fully encapsulates the insulation core to form a capsule or pouch about the insulation core. The non-consumable passivator is non-consumable such that there is no appreciable change to a mass of the non-consumable passivator after an extended time of activation. The non-consumable passivator is deposited into the insulation core and has a composition soluble in water. The non-consumable passivator includes a leachable component that leaches from the insulation core and is capable of neutralizing acidic components. The leachable component is water soluble and is capable of reacting with a surface of the pipe to form a protective coating on the pipe to aid in inhibiting corrosion formation on the surface of the pipe.

BI-DIRECTIONALLY ORIENTED MULTILAYER FILM

A multilayer film includes an inner layer system having a first surface and a second surface; a first skin layer bound to the inner layer system at the first surface of the inner layer system; and a second skin layer bound to the inner layer system at the second surface of the inner layer system. The inner layer system contains ≥50.0 wt % of a first ethylene-based polymer being a high-density polyethylene having a density of ≥940 and ≤970 kg/m.sup.3; and one or both of the first or the second skin layer(s) is a sealing layer including a second ethylene-based polymer being a linear low-density polyethylene comprising polymeric moieties derived from ethylene and from 1-hexene or 1-octene, having a density of ≥890 and ≤915 kg/m.sup.3.
