Vacuum insulated articles with reflective material enhancement
Provided are vacuum-insulated articles that comprise an evacuated space disposed between first and second walls and a reflective material disposed within the evacuated space. Also provided are methods of fabricating such articles.
Two-component solventless adhesive compositions
Two-component solventless polyurethane adhesive compositions comprising an isocyanate component and an isocyanate-reactive are disclosed, the compositions comprising an isocyanate component comprising an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer and an isocyanate-reactive component comprising a hydroxy-terminated polyurethane resin, a polyether polyol, a phosphate ester adhesion promoter, and, optionally, a bio-based polyol. Methods for forming laminate structures are also disclosed, the methods comprising forming an adhesive composition by mixing an isocyanate adhesive component comprising an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer and an isocyanate-reactive adhesive component comprising a hydroxy-terminated polyurethane resin, a polyether polyol, a phosphate ester adhesion promoter, and optionally, a bio-based polyol, applying the adhesive composition to a surface of a first substrate, and bringing a surface of a second substrate into contact with the adhesive composition on the surface of the first substrate, thereby forming the laminate structure. Laminate structures are also disclosed.
Polyester laminate tube for container
A polyester film laminated with other polymers to form a sheet. A laminated tube for liquid and paste products such as toothpastes, and the like can be manufactured from said sheet. The laminate comprises an outer polyethylene film, adhesive agent layers, a polyester film, and a composite polyethylene film comprising at least one co-extruded polyethylene layer sandwiched by at least one polyethylene film and an inner polyethylene film.
Packaging container and film production
The invention relates to a packaging container (1, 2) for loose or free-flowing filling material, said packaging container consisting of plastic monofilm or composite film with at least one layer of plastic and forming, in a filled and closed form, a wrapping of the filling material with two mutually opposing main walls (3, 4) which act as bearing faces in a stack with other filled packaging containers and consist of thermoplastic, at least on the outer surfaces (15) thereof. The packaging container according to the invention is designed to be stackable in a non-slip manner but also easily removable from the stack and to this end, for practical production and processing, is designed such that the two surfaces (15) are embossed for a surface roughness having a roughness depth of 20-40 μm.
RESIN COMPOSITION FOR SEALANT, MULTILAYERED BODY, PACKAGING MATERIAL AND PACKAGING CONTAINER
A resin composition for a sealant, comprising an ethylene/polar monomer copolymer (A), an adhesion-imparting resin (B) and a 4-methyl-1-pentene/α-olefin copolymer (C), a content of the 4-methyl-1-pentene/α-olefin copolymer (C) being from 1% by mass to 20% by mass with respect to a total mass of the resin composition for a sealant.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A CARGO BODY PANEL
A composite molded cargo body panel including a core, an interior skin secured to a first side of the core having a thickness, and exterior skin secured to a second side of the core, and a plurality of recesses. The plurality of recesses are dispersed along a first direction at intervals in the interior skin, with the core thickness at each of the plurality of recesses being reduced compared to a maximum core thickness, and each of the plurality of recesses defines a support surface. A pocket is formed in each of the plurality of recesses, with the core thickness at the pocket being less than the core thickness at each of the plurality of recesses. A plurality of logistics inserts are attached to the respective support surfaces of the plurality of recesses so that, at each of the plurality of recesses, the logistics insert extends across the pocket.
A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A PACKAGING MATERIAL
The invention discloses a method for producing a packaging material and a packaging material suitable for packaging of food and/or liquid. In the method of the invention a first barrier layer, and an optional second barrier layer, is applied on a first side of a paperboard web. The thereby formed barrier coated web is at least partly dried in a first drying step, whereupon an extruded layer is applied onto the partly dried barrier coated web in a second coating step. In accordance with the invention, the first and second coating steps are applied integrated within the same coating line. The application of a first barrier layer and an extrusion coated layer in the same coating line in accordance with the invention has shown to give rise to a packaging material with remarkably good barrier properties, especially gas-, liquid and/or grease barrier properties, for the packaging of food and/or liquid.
Active agent-containing articles that exhibit consumer acceptable article in-use properties
Active agent-containing articles, for example fibrous structures, that exhibit consumer acceptable article in-use properties, such as article peel strength, flexibility, and/or dissolvability, and methods for making same are provided.
DEVICE FOR EXTINGUISHING FIRE OR LIMITING FIRE OUTBREAKS
A fire extinguishing device is for a motor vehicle. The fire extinguishing device includes an internal cavity containing a pressurized fire extinguishing fluid. The cavity is delimited by a wall, the wall having at least one barrier layer (b) containing a semi-aromatic polyamide composition (B).
A PACKAGING MATERIAL FOR PACKAGING OF LIQUID AND FOOD
The invention discloses a paperboard for packaging of a heat-sealable packaging material comprising: —a paperboard substrate comprising a first and a second side, —a first and an optional second dispersion coating layer on the first side, which first and optional second dispersion coating layer provides a barrier against at least one of liquid, moisture, grease and gas, —an extrusion coated barrier layer comprising a polyolefin, wherein the first and optional second dispersion coating layer is applied between the paperboard substrate and the extrusion coated barrier layer, and wherein the coat weight of the extrusion coated barrier layer is less than 15 gsm. The packaging material according of the invention minimizes the amount of plastic coating, but still provides the needed barrier properties for the packaging of food and/or liquid. The packaging material has especially been shown to provide a longer shelf life for food items packed in a packaging made from the material. Especially, the packaging material provides gas-, liquid and/or grease barrier properties. Although the packaging material comprises such low amount of extruded thermoplastic polymers, the material is readily heat-sealable.
