LAMINATE, ELECTRONIC COMPONENT, AND LAMINATE PRODUCTION METHOD
The laminate of the present disclosure includes multiple glass ceramic layers each containing quartz and a glass that contains SiO.sub.2, B.sub.2O.sub.3, Al.sub.2O.sub.3, and M.sub.2O, where M is an alkali metal. The B concentration of a surface layer portion of the laminate is lower than the B concentration of an inner layer portion of the laminate.
Polyimide film layered body
A laminate mainly made of polyimide with low thermal expansion, high mechanical strength, and high heat resistance, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. A surface of a polyimide film is activated and then treated by a silane coupling agent. Subsequently, the obtained silane coupling agent-treated polyimide films are superimposed, and pressure and heat are applied to the superimposed polyimide films so as to manufacture a polyimide film laminate. The obtained polyimide film laminate has a cross-sectional structure of superimposing polyimide film layers and silane coupling agent condensate layer(s) alternately to each other. Adhesive strength between the polyimide films of the polyimide film laminate of the present invention does not change largely from initial adhesive strength even after heat treatment at 400° C. for 15 minutes. Further, the polyimide film laminate exhibits a high bending elastic modulus and impact resistance.
MULTILAYER, FLEXIBLE, IMPACT AND PUNCTURE RESISTANT, FLUID IMPERVIOUS, DIELECTRIC INSULATOR SHEET FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY PACK AND MOUNTING ARRANGEMENT THEREWITH
A multilayer, flexible, impact and puncture resistant, impervious, dielectric insulator sheet and mounting arrangement therewith for an electric vehicle battery pack includes a textile layer having generally planar opposite first and second sides and a fluid impervious film fixed to the first side with an adhesive laminate. The adhesive laminate includes a polymeric film sandwiched between opposite first and second layers of adhesive material. The first layer of adhesive material is bonded to the textile layer and the second layer of adhesive material is bonded to the fluid impervious film.
Improved Resin-rich Mica Tape
Resin-rich mica tapes comprising one or more than one layer of mica paper and one or more than one layer of a nonmetallic inorganic fabric, in particular a glass fabric, which are pre-impregnated with an impregnation resin composition comprising an epoxy resin with more than one epoxy group, which is solid or semisolid at ambient temperature, a latent curing agent for said epoxy resin, about 5 to about 20% by weight of hexagonal boron nitride of a particle size (D50) of equal or less than about 3 μm, about 0.05 to about 1% by weight of a wetting agent and a suitable solvent which is removed after pre-impregnation of the mica tape with the impregnation resin mixture are useful to prepare electrical insulations with excellent thermal conductivity and dielectric dissipation factor.
Composite and method for making
A composite includes a first layer of a first fluoropolymer; a second layer of at least one ply of a reinforcing fabric overlying the first layer; and a third layer of a second fluoropolymer overlying the second layer opposite to the first layer, wherein the first layer, the third layer, or combination thereof have an outer surface that is defect free; wherein the composite has a continuous length of at least about 3 meters. Embodiments of such composites can find applications, for example, as processing aids for an electronic device, a food, a polymer, insulating an electrical device, or heat sealing a polymer.
THERMAL INSULATION MATERIALS AND METHODS THEREOF
Provided is a multilayer thermal insulator and related method that use a non-woven core layer comprising non-meltable and flame-resistant polymeric fibers. One or more scrims are disposed on the opposing major surfaces of the non-woven core layer, and a peripheral edge of the one or more scrims is either edge sealed or capable of being edge sealed to substantially encapsulate the non-woven core layer within the one or more scrims. Optionally, a binder is provided on the scrims or non-woven core layer to facilitate edge sealing. The provided insulators are essentially dust-free and capable of passing stringent flammability standards.
Magnetic Shielding Tape for Cable and Method for Manufacturing Thereof
A method for manufacturing a magnetic tape includes the steps of forming a thin film magnetic layer including at least one metal ribbon sheet, adhering a cover film layer to one side surface of the thin film magnetic layer through a first adhesive layer, performing flaking on the metal ribbon sheet included in the thin film magnetic layer to which the cover film layer is adhered, and adhering a conductive layer to the other side surface of the thin film magnetic layer, which includes the at least one metal ribbon sheet undergone the flaking, through a second adhesive layer, wherein the dividing includes dividing the thin film magnetic layer to provide a gap between adjacent fine pieces among the plurality of fine pieces by applying tension to the thin film magnetic layer in an extension direction of the magnetic shielding tape while the flaking is performed.
