A shampoo support apparatus and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the shampoo support apparatus, a body is configurable between a reclining configuration and a booster seat configuration. In the reclining configuration, the body provides a neck support and a back support. A support structure that may be placed above the body is configured to accept and secure a smart device thereat and support the smart device at a smart device working distance from the neck support. In the booster seat configuration, the body folds into a rectangular shape to provide a seat.

A transfer apparatus for receiving the chair seat of a wheelchair and supporting the chair seat in the base of a washing enclosure. The transfer apparatus has a chair support member including a chair support track section that can be positioned in the washing enclosure base, a bridge portion with a bridge track section that is movably mounted to the chair support member. The transfer apparatus includes a lock system usable to secure the bridge portion in an in-use position and engaged with the wheelchair. A first lock inhibits rotational motion of the bridge portion. The first lock includes a retractable locking member that is biased to an extended, locking position. A second lock is usable to prevent longitudinal separation of the bridge portion and the wheelchair. The first and second lock can be automatically engaged when the bridge portion is moved to the in-use position.

A front support is connected to the bathtub shell. The front support includes a belt portion that has first and second ends mounted to the shell, and a downwardly extending support portion that includes a comfort opening and a cover configured to cover at least a part of the comfort opening. A tub receptacle and sling for bathing an infant has at least two configurations. The tub receptacle includes a first pair of fasteners positioned opposite each other near the foot end of the tub, and a second pair of fasteners positioned opposite each other closer to the head end of the tub. The sling includes an upper pair of fasteners that attach to the tub near the head end, and a lower pair of fasteners that may attached either at the first pair of fasteners or the second pair of fasteners. In a first configuration, the fasteners are attached to the tub at the first pair of receivers and an infant on the sling is fully supported by the sling. In a second configuration, the fasteners are attached to the tub at the second pair of receivers and an infant in the tub is partially supported by the sling and partially supported by the interior surface of the tub.

A bathtub insert assembly for facilitating safe bathing includes a shell, which has a top that is open. A lower section of the shell is substantially complementary to a width of a bathtub. An interior surface of the shell is resilient and is configured to absorb an impact imparted by a user to prevent injury. A first plate and a second plate are coupled to a first and second ends of the shell, respectively. The first plate is configured to seat the user. The second plate is configured to support the user's feet. A pair of armrests is coupled to the shell between the first plate and the top of the shell. At least one rail is coupled to the interior surface and is configured to position items, such as soap, and to be grasped in a hand of the user to assist the user in sitting and rising.
