In-mold carpet lamination
A process for fabricating a molded carpet laminate includes supporting a carpet layer in a molding tool that has mold dies that define a mold cavity. The mold dies are then moved from an open position to a partially closed position. In the partially closed position, a heated polymer material is injected into the mold cavity. The heated polymer material incompletely fills the mold cavity on the working side of the carpet layer. The mold dies are then moved from the partially closed position to a closed position to spread the heated polymer material and fill the mold cavity on the working side of the carpet layer to form a molded polymer wall. The molded polymer wall adheres to the working side of the carpet layer to form a molded carpet laminate. The mold dies are then moved from the closed position and the molded carpet laminate is cooled.
Washable Carpet Tile
This invention relates to tufted floorcovering articles that are washable in commercial, industrial, and/or residential washing machines. In particular, this invention relates to modular carpet tiles that are constructed in such a way as to withstand exposure to at least one wash cycle in an automatic washing machine. The carpet tiles are designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications such as entryway floorcovering articles. A further advantage includes the ability to print advertising logos on the carpet tiles and easily change out the advertising logos as desired. Both features of the carpet tile of the present invention are achievable, at least in part, because the surface of the tile that contacts the floor does not require any type of adhesive in order to use the carpet tile for its intended function.
CARPET WITH SELF-TWISTED LOOP PILE AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
Carpet with self-twisted loop piles that has an appearance and aesthetics similar to cut pile construction with improved durability and methods for making the same are provided.
Aesthetic Floor Covering System
Moulded floor covering system for acoustic attenuation of an automotive vehicle comprising a surface layer, a thermoplastic elastomeric base layer with a density of at least 0.5 kg/m3, and a decoupling layer, characterised in that the facing layer comprises an adhesive layer jointed to the surface of the base layer and an adherent pile of fibrous flock standing substantially on end in the adhesive forming the surface coverage.
OPTICALLY TRANSPARENT WET NONWOVEN CELLULOSE FIBER FABRIC
A nonwoven cellulose fiber fabric, in particular directly manufactured from lyocell spinning solution, wherein the fabric comprises a network of substantially endless fibers, wherein different ones of the fibers are located at least partially in different distinguishable interconnected layers, and wherein the fabric is optically transparent when wet.
Carpet with a Woven Microrelief and Method
The present invention relates to a carpet with woven surface relief, comprising at least a series of tension warps (1), a series of binding warps (2), said warps (1, 2) being interwoven with a series of weft yarns (3), the ratio of the length of said binding warps (2) relative to the length of said tension warps (1) being greater than 1.20, preferably greater than 1.50.
COOLANT COMPRESSOR
The invention relates to a coolant compressor having a compressor housing (6), an electric drive unit comprising a rotor (4) and a stator (3), a crankshaft (1) rotationally fixedly connected to the rotor (4) and having a longitudinal axis (2); and a piston-cylinder unit (5) that can be driven by the crankshaft (1). In order to permit an increased feed rate of lubricant from a lubricant sump, according to the invention, on an end of the crankshaft (1) that is opposite to the piston-cylinder unit (5) there is arranged a sleeve-like lubricant receptacle (8) for the centrifugal delivery of lubricant out of the lubricant sump in the direction of the piston-cylinder unit (5), wherein the sleeve-like lubricant receptacle (8) is fixed to the crankshaft (1) via a fixing section (9), wherein the fixing section (9) of the sleeve-like lubricant receptacle (8) is at least partly arranged between crankshaft (1) and rotor (4) in the radial direction in relation to the longitudinal axis (2) of the crankshaft (1).
SCRIM-REINFORCED CUSHION MAT FOR CARPET TILES
A carpet tile includes a textile top member and a cushion mat that is coupled with the textile top member via a thermoplastic material. The textile top member includes carpet yarns and a backing that is coupled with the carpet yarns so that the backing structurally supports the carpet yarns. The cushion mat includes a polymeric material component having polymer fibers that are randomly oriented and entangled together and a scrim reinforcement that is disposed within the polymeric material component. The scrim reinforcement reinforces and stabilizes the polymeric material component and is entirely covered and concealed by the intermeshed polymer fibers.
Carpet stretching assembly
A carpet stretching assembly includes a carpet stretcher that has a strike plate, a gripper and a tube extending therebetween. The carpet stretcher is positionable on a floor having the gripper engaging carpet on the floor and having the strike plate horizontally oriented for striking with a knee. The tube has a first portion that is slidably coupled to a second portion such that the tube has an adjustable length. A tube shock absorber is positioned within the tube and the tube shock absorber biases the strike plate away from the gripper. The tube shock absorber absorbs impact energy from the striker shock absorbers. Moreover, the tube shock absorber transfers the impact energy from the striker shock absorbers into the gripper. In this way the tube shock absorber enhances stretching the carpet when the strike plate is struck.
CARPET FOR SOUND REDUCTION MATERIAL
A carpet for a sound reduction material is disclosed including: a non-permeable primary coating layer formed of polyethylene (PE) resin, being in contact with a lower surface of a fabric layer and having a basis weight of 200 to 300 g/m.sup.2; a permeable felt layer in contact with a lower surface of the primary coating layer and having a basis weight of 200 to 500 g/m.sup.2; and a non-permeable secondary coating layer formed of polyethylene (PE) resin or ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), being in contact with a lower surface of the felt layer and having a basis weight of 200 to 1,000 g/m.sup.2. The carpet for a sound reduction material may thus have improved noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) performance, reduced total weight and improved stiffness.
