A floor mat includes a body portion, a plurality of channels positioned on a top of the body portion, a plurality of supports extending away from a bottom of the body portion, and a first plurality of ribs extending between the plurality of supports on the bottom of the body portion.

Fluid handling device and method
09848755 · 2017-12-26 · ·

A device and method for handling fluids released during a procedure employs a floormat with opposing surfaces. The floormat is formed, at least in part, of compressible and resilient material. An absorbent sheet is attached to one of the opposing surfaces of the floormat. At least part of the absorbent sheet is stacked to extend peripherally beyond the floormat. The floormat and absorbent sheet are placed where a user is expected to stand during the procedure, and are stacked with at least part of the absorbent sheet extending beyond the floormat. A user stands atop the floormat and absorbent sheet during at least part of the procedure. During the procedure, fluids that fall onto the absorbent sheet are absorbed into it. The floormat and absorbent sheet are vacated and discarded before starting another procedure.

FIBER STRUCTURE HAVING HALOGEN-FREE FOAMING POLYMER LAYER

Disclosed is a fiber structure including a halogen-free polymer layer such as a styrenic block (SBC) copolymer. The fiber structure has environmentally-friendly properties and reduced weight, as compared to conventional materials such as PVC and has improved low temperature stability, fixing ability and resistance to deformation.

IMPACT ABSORBING MATTING AND PADDING SYSTEM WITH ELASTOMERIC SUB-SURFACE STRUCTURE
20170356517 · 2017-12-14 ·

A cushioning and impact absorbing pad with a surface layer of thickness t, and an elastomeric sub-surface-structure of height h. The sub-surface structure comprises an array of elastomeric columns wherein each column has a frustoconical column wall surrounding a central void. The frustoconical column walls have a zone that is a more compressible, relatively collapsible zone in a region at an end of the column opposite the surface layer and a zone that is a relatively less compressible zone in a region at the end of the column abutting the surface layer. Column walls are tapered with draft angles in the range of greater than 6 degrees and less than 10 degrees.

Floor mat with hidden base component

This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat with a hidden base component. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.
