A system for adjusting a timing of at least one flush valve based on demand is provided. The system includes a plurality of flush valves arranged in at least one restroom. The system also includes a network device configured to receive wireless signals, and at least one processor in communication with the network device and the plurality of flush valves, the at least one processor programmed or configured to: detect, based on wireless signals received by the network device, a number of mobile devices in the area; determine whether the number of mobile devices in the area meets or exceeds at least one predetermined threshold; and in response to determining that the number of mobile devices in the area meets or exceeds the at least one predetermined threshold, adjusting the flush time of each of the plurality of flush valves to an adjusted flush time.

Sensor and system for monitoring dispenser levels, traffic flow, and staff location

An electronic material sensor for a container, such as a dispenser for paper or liquid materials, or a waste receptacle, in a facility such as a restroom. The material sensor may be adapted to fit inside an existing material dispenser. The material sensor provides wireless data transmission of the level of liquid or paper material in the container. A traffic sensor senses presence of people in the facility. An electronic beacon assigned to a user, such as a cleaning staff, tracks location of the user in the facility. In a system employing one or more sensors, including material sensors, traffic sensors, and beacons, the sensors send real-time data to a base station running a software application, to give details about levels of the materials and facility usage, and the location of cleaning staff. The system sends notifications to cleaning and maintenance staff when the materials need to be replenished and receptacles need to be emptied, and the system may be used by managers to schedule cleaning according to traffic and location of staff.

System, Method, and Apparatus for Monitoring Restroom Appliances

A system for monitoring flush valves includes a plurality of flush valves arranged in at least one restroom, each flush valve including a communication device configured to transmit flush valve data, and at least one controller arranged in a first flush valve and in communication with each other flush valve. The at least one controller is configured to determine a static pressure within the first flush valve, detect a second pressure within the first flush valve, determine that the second pressure is less than the static pressure, in response to determining that the second pressure is less than the static pressure, compare the second pressure with at least one other pressure associated with at least one other flush valve, and determine that the first flush valve is in need of servicing or replacement based on comparing the second pressure with the at least one other pressure.

A piece of hygiene equipment configured to dispense a consumable to a user includes a processing circuit and a radio circuit. The radio circuit is configured to receive and transmit a radio signal carrying payload data, and the processing circuit is configured to obtain information on a positional relationship to another device by instructing the radio circuit to receive and/or transmit a radio signal carrying first payload data. The processing circuit is configured to generate second payload data on the basis of the obtained information on the obtained positional relationship, and to instruct the radio circuit to transmit a radio signal carrying said second payload data.

Compressed tissue carton with tear strip

Generally, the present disclosure relates to a carton for tissue products comprising a carton and an overwrapped compressed stack of tissues, such as facial tissues. The compressed carton can significantly reduce costs associated with shipping such low density products. The overwrapped compressed stack of tissues has a tear strip, which permits the compressed stack of tissues to expand, releasing the compression of the tissue stack and allowing the tissues to be dispensed normally.

System, method, and apparatus for optimizing a timing of a flush valve

A system for optimizing a timing of a flush valve is provided. The system includes a flush valve comprising a flow area and a solenoid configured to open the flush valve, at least one pressure sensor configured to measure a pressure in the flush valve, and at least one controller in communication with the at least one pressure sensor and the solenoid. The at least one controller is programmed or configured to control the solenoid to open the flush valve for a flush time in response to a flush request, measure a pressure in the flush valve to obtain at least one flush valve pressure, adjust the flush time based at least partially on the at least one flush valve pressure, resulting in an adjusted flush time, and control the solenoid to open the flush valve for the adjusted flush time in response to a flush request.

POWERED COMMUNICATION CONNECTION

One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for providing power and/or communication to a device, such as a dispenser, a flush valve of a bathroom device, a hygiene opportunity measurement device, a hands free faucet, etc. For example, a mounting system comprises a mounting plate that may attach to a structure, such as a wall. The mounting plate may comprise a mounting connector that may be configured to mate with a device connector of the device to establish a connection. Power may be provided to the device through the connection. A communication may be provided for the device through the connection. For example, the device may send current device statuses, usage metrics, and/or other information to a remote source. The remote source may send instructions, data collection requests, functionality changes, and/or other information to the device.
