PRETREATMENT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR TREATING WORK PIECES

A pretreatment assembly includes a product support assembly and a pretreatment device. The product support assembly includes a primary support assembly, a primary drive assembly, a number of secondary support assemblies, and a secondary drive assembly. The primary drive assembly is operatively coupled to the primary support assembly. The primary drive assembly imparts a generally constant motion to the primary support assembly. Each secondary support assembly is structured to support a number of work pieces. Each secondary support assembly is movably coupled to the primary support assembly. The secondary drive assembly is operatively coupled to each secondary support assembly. The secondary drive assembly selectively imparts a motion to each secondary support assembly. The pretreatment device is disposed adjacent the product support assembly.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DRYING INKS PRINTED ON HEAT SENSITIVE ABSORBENT ARTICLE COMPONENTS
20180333307 · 2018-11-22 ·

The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for printing and drying inks on substrates. Printing systems may include a metering device positioned between a printing station and a light source. During operation, the printing station deposits ink onto a substrate to define a printed region. And the light source directs infrared light onto the substrate to define an illumination zone. The printed region is advanced from the printing station to the metering device and from the metering device through the illumination zone, wherein the ink is dried with infrared light traveling from the light source, which also heats the substrate and changes the modulus of elasticity of the substrate. In turn, the metering device isolates the printing station from the change in the modulus of elasticity to help reduce phase shifts caused by changes in the modulus of elasticity resulting from heat in the substrate.

DRYING APPARATUS, RECORDING APPARATUS, AND DRYING METHOD

A drying apparatus includes a drying chamber configured to be connected to a decompression section, and a moving section configured to move a target object in the interior of the drying chamber. With this structure, the pressure in the interior of the drying chamber can be reduced and the target object can be dried in the interior of the drying chamber, and thereby the drying efficiency of the target object can be increased.

Method and apparatus for cold-stamping onto three-dimensional objects

The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for cold-stamping onto a three-dimensional object. In a first step, an adhesive is applied to the object at a first workstation. In a second step, a transfer film is pressed onto the object by a pressing device at a second workstation. At the same time, the adhesive is cured at the second workstation. As a result, the decorative material of the transfer film adheres to the object at the positions on the object which are provided with adhesive. If, following this, the transfer film is removed from the three-dimensional object after being pressed on, the decorative material remains on the object at the desired positions. At the positions at which in the first step no adhesive has been applied to the object, the decorative material does not adhere to the object but rather remains on the carrier film of the transfer film.

A light irradiating device includes a plurality of LED elements which is disposed on a substrate along a first direction and irradiatesan ultraviolet ray on an irradiating object; and a plurality of light collecting units which is disposed in an optical path of each LED element and forms the ultraviolet ray emitted from each LED element to have a narrow spread angle, in which the ultraviolet ray which passes through the light collecting unit to be directed to the irradiating object has a first light distribution peak which is inclined to an upstream side of the first direction at a first angle and a second light distribution peak which is inclined to a downstream side of the first direction at a second angle, with respect to a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction.

Method Of Flexographic Printing Over A Textured Surface

Disclosed herein is a method for flexographically printing over a textured surface. The method comprises selecting a substrate for application of a print pattern and advancing the substrate through a flexographic coil paint line in order to apply a primer to at least one side of the substrate. Next a finish coat is flexographically applied to the primed substrate and due to a chemical reaction of the applied finish coat along with supplemental heating, the finish coat forms a textured surface. Next, a print pattern is flexographically applied atop the textured surface.

Golf ball having markings spaced from a centerline plane
12447380 · 2025-10-21 · ·

A method for printing a marking on a golf ball includes arranging ink in an etching pattern on a printing plate, matching a reference position on the plate to a reference position on the golf ball, transferring the ink from the printing plate to a pad, and transferring the ink from the pad to the golf ball such that the golf ball includes the marking. The pattern includes an etch corresponding to the marking, wherein the etch differs from the marking in a manner dependent on the position of the marking on the golf ball. The marking that results on the golf ball is a linear marking, and a centerline of the linear marking lies entirely within a marking plane that is not a centerline plane of the golf ball, and wherein the edges of the marking are parallel with the marking plane.
