It is possible to provide a printing press cleaning device capable of shortening a cleaning time and improving an operation efficiency by efficient cleaning without increasing the supply amount of the cleaning solution.
Method and apparatus for cleaning printing cylinders
A cleaning fabric wound on a roll (12) is used for cleaning printing cylinders (2, 3, 4) of a printing system (1). The cleaning fabric (13) includes a liquid absorbable material configured to be soaked with a cleaning liquid containing a polar additive configured to make the cleaning liquid polar. The roll (12) of cleaning fabric (13) is included in a cleaning cassette (10) which is movable between an idle position out of contact with the printing cylinders, and an active position in which the cleaning fabric (13) included in the cassette (10) is in contact with a printing cylinder to be cleaned.
Cleaning System and Method
There is disclosed an ultrasonic cleaning bar for cleaning a roller of a printing machine. The ultrasonic cleaning bar comprises: an elongate body defining a longitudinal axis; a doctor blade supported by the body; an ultrasonic transducer for generating ultrasonic waves within the cleaning fluid; and first and second formations positioned at longitudinally opposite ends of the body, the first formation being releasably engageable with a first mounting bracket of the printing machine and the second formation being releasably engageable with a second mounting bracket of the printing machine; and wherein, when the first and second formations are engaged with the first and second brackets, the doctor blade engages a surface of the roller, such that the body, the doctor blade and the roller define a trough therebetween configured to contain a cleaning fluid which contacts the roller.

DISPLACING A SUBSTANCE
According to some examples a substance displacement apparatus may comprise a gas ejection aperture and a deflector arm. The gas ejection aperture may be to direct gas towards a roller having a surface on which a substance is disposed. The deflector arm may be moveable between a first position in which gas is directed away from a target area on the surface of the roller, and a second position in which gas is directed towards the target area on the surface of the roller, thereby to displace at least some of the substance from the surface of the roller within the target area. A method and a print apparatus are also disclosed.
IMAGE PANEL HAVING COMPOSITE IMAGE USING COLOR CHANGING WITH BACKLIGHT ILLUMINATION
Embodiments of an image panel are provided. The image panel includes a transparent substrate having a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. A first image layer is disposed on the second major surface. A diffuser layer is disposed on the first image layer, and a second image layer is disposed on the diffuser layer. The second image layer includes mask regions and image regions. An optical density of the image panel is at least 3.0 in the mask regions and less than 3.0 in the image regions. The image regions are not visible from the first major surface when light is not incident upon the second major surface. The image regions are visible from the first major surface and form a composite image with the first image layer when light is incident upon the second major surface.
Method for cleaning a printing fluid off a surface of at least one rotatable component of a printing machine
A method for cleaning a printing fluid off a surface of at least one rotatable component of a printing press includes selecting and executing one of a plurality of predefined cleaning operations in an automated way. The selection is made on the basis of a predefined mathematical model executed on a computer and, when the model is executed, a parameter corresponding to an amount of the printing fluid present on the surface is calculated. The improved cleaning method may be applied in all modes of operation of the printing press and in particular allows detergent, cleaning cloth, and/or water to be saved.
FOREIGN MATERIAL REMOVING DEVICE AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A cleaning roller to be brought into contact with a medium includes a rotary shaft having a first end portion and a second end portion, and a sticky roller attached to the rotary shaft. A cleaning roller holder includes a first bearing portion configured to restrict a movement range of the first end portion and a second bearing portion configured to restrict a movement range of the second end portion. In a state where the first end portion is disposed at the first bearing portion and the second end portion is disposed at the second bearing portion, the cleaning roller holder positions the cleaning roller in a detachable manner. The center of gravity of the cleaning roller is shifted from the center of the cleaning roller in the longitudinal direction toward the first end portion, and is in a range where the sticky roller exists in the longitudinal direction.
Corrugated paperboard printer and corrugated paperboard box making machine
Disclosed is a corrugated paperboard printer comprising a chamber which reserves ink, wherein the chamber comprises a chamber frame comprising an ink reservoir which reserves the ink. A steel member and a recovery pipe are arranged on the opposite side of an anilox roll across the chamber frame. The steel member comprises a web extending in an up-down direction, and a first flange and a second flange connected, respectively, to up-down directional opposite ends of the web. The web is penetratingly formed with a maintenance opening in accordance with the position of a coupling port valve or the like. The second flange is formed with an insertion part for allowing the recovery pipe or the like to be inserted therein.
Corrugated paperboard printer and corrugated paperboard box making machine
Disclosed is a corrugated paperboard printer comprising a pressing device for applying a pressing force to press a chamber which reserves ink toward an anilox roll. The pressing device is configured to apply a first pressing force, and a second pressing force which is greater than the first pressing force, respectively, to a first pressing area and a second pressing area in a back surface of a chamber frame. In a state in which no pressing force is applied by the pressing device, bending occurring in the chamber frame due to a load transmitted from a printing roll to the chamber frame via the anilox roll as printing is performed to a corrugated paperboard sheet is greater in the second pressing area than in the first pressing area.
