INKJET PRINTING DEVICE, BOX-MAKING MACHINE, AND CORRUGATING MACHINE
This inkjet printing device comprises a conveyance path by which a sheet to be assembled as a corrugated cardboard box having a plurality of walls is conveyed in a conveyance direction, and inkjet heads that are positioned facing the surface of the sheet in the conveyance path and that can print a printed pattern in predetermined print ranges of an intersecting direction that intersects the conveyance direction along the surface of the sheet. The inkjet heads are positioned so that the print ranges span between first regions, which are intended to be first walls when the sheet is assembled into a corrugated cardboard box, and second regions, which are adjacent to the first regions in the intersecting direction and are intended to be second walls separate from the first walls.
Method of roll-to-roll digital printing, cutting, and punching of medical device surfaces
A method for preparing a material for use as a surface of a medical device may include printing, with an ink jet printer and using ink that is curable with ultraviolet light, content onto a surface of material that includes woven ticking fabric laminated with polyurethane. The method may also include curing the ink with the ultraviolet light. The method may also include cutting a section of the material in registration to the content printed on the surface for use in a medical device.

PRINTING SYSTEM
According to one embodiment, a position determination unit of a printing system determines a printing position of printing information printed on an object to be printed conveyed by a conveyance machine. An erasing unit erases the printing information printed using thermochromic ink by emitting heat from a heat source, a height position of which is adjusted according to the printing position, from a direction perpendicular to a conveyance direction according to a timing at which the printing position, determined based on the printing position, passes. A printing unit includes a printer using the thermochromic ink, disposed behind the heat source along the conveyance direction, and prints information on the object to be printed from the direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction by the printer, a height position of which is adjusted according to the printing position, according to the timing at which the printing position passes. A facing mechanism causes a printing surface of the object to be printed to face a printer head of the printer at least when the printing unit prints the information.
SECURITY-ENHANCED INSTANT TICKETS VIA HOMOGENEOUS UTILIZATION OF TICKET BACKING AND VARIABLE INDICIA INKS OR DYES
A security-enhanced document includes a substrate and variable indicia comprising ink having a signal. The variable indicia is of a specific type and is applied to the substrate using a specific application technique. At least one other printed portion, which is a back of the document, has background ink noise, and the type of ink of the back of the document is of the same type of ink applied to the substrate using the same application technique as the ink of the variable indicia. The document also includes a scratch-off-coating applied over the variable indicia. The document has a signal-to-noise ratio of the ink of the variable indicia relative to the background ink noise of the back of the document that is not appreciable, thereby making the variable indicia unreadable with reference to the back of the document when the scratch-off-coating remains intact.

Inkjet printing apparatus and storage medium storing program
A controller extracts an image resolution in a first direction of image data stored in a memory; determines, based on the image data, whether a code image is included in an image to be printed on a recording medium, the code image being formed with a plurality of print regions and a plurality of non-print regions; in response to determining that the code image is included, determines whether a print resolution in the first direction is lower than the extracted image resolution in the first direction; in response to determining that the print resolution is lower than the extracted image resolution, updates the print resolution in the first direction with a value equal to or higher than the extracted image resolution in the first direction; and controls a print engine to perform printing on the recording medium with the updated print resolution in the first direction.
