A controller determines whether a first direction is perpendicular to an extending direction of a straight line portion in a boundary between recorded and non-recorded regions; determines whether a recording resolution in the first direction is lower than an image resolution; in response to determining that the first direction is perpendicular to the extending direction and that the recording resolution is lower than the image resolution, determines whether at least part of a predicted landing region is located outside a reference line; and in response to determining that the at least part of the predicted landing region is located outside the reference line, controls a head and a carriage to adjust ejection timing of an ink droplet forming the edge of the straight line portion such that a protruding area of an actual landing region of the ink droplet is smaller than a protruding area of the predicted landing region.

There is provided a printer including: a head including head chips; a conveyor; and a controller. The head chips are arranged in an intersecting direction that intersects with a conveyance direction, and two head chips adjacent to each other in the intersecting direction are shifted from each other in the conveyance direction. The controller is configured to execute: print a bar code having a first portion and a second portion; determine based on the printing data whether a seam between the two head chips is positioned in the first portion; and adjust a printing position of the bar code with respect to the head so that the seam is positioned in the second portion.

According to one embodiment, in a barcode printer (printer device), if a sleep mode transition detection unit (first state transition detection unit) detects that a barcode printer transitions to a sleep mode (first state), or if a power state control unit detects an instruction to turn off the power of the barcode printer, a head position control unit pulls the thermal head (print head) away from the platen roller and holds the thermal head in the state of being pulled away from the platen roller.

Printer for printing on histology-laboratory consumable articles

A printer for printing on histology-laboratory consumable articles (16) includes an optical reading device (13), which reads an image pattern of a histology-laboratory consumable article (16) to be printed on by means of the printing device (4), generates analog or digital image-pattern image signals with regard to the read image pattern and transfers the image-pattern image signals to a control device (8) of the printer, and/or which reads an overprint (18) printed onto a histology-laboratory consumable article (16) by the printing device (4), generates analog or digital overprint image signals with regard to the read overprint (18) and transfers the overprint image signals to a control device (8) of the printer, which control device determines at least one quality parameter with regard to the overprint (18).

Recording apparatus

A recording apparatus includes a liquid ejection head having nozzles, a controller, and a signal input part through which a user inputs, to the controller, a setting signal indicating settings related to a grade of a barcode or two-dimensional code. The controller drives the liquid ejection head based on the setting signal input through the signal input part to cause the nozzles to eject liquid to record a barcode or two-dimensional code on a recording medium in the grade corresponding to the setting signal.

Barcode printer

A barcode printer includes a frame on which a paper receiving device, a printing device, a cutting device, and a paper output device are disposed. The paper receiving device receives a plurality of printing papers which is interconnected and folded in a zigzag manner. A front edge of the uppermost printing paper is inserted downward into a paper inlet passage of the printing device. A paper delivering motor moves the uppermost printing paper forward to pass through a gap between a printer and a paper delivering roller. A printer is activated to print a barcode on a lower face of the uppermost printing paper. The front edge of the uppermost printing paper is moved to pass through the cutter and the paper output roller unit. The paper delivering motor is then stopped, and a rear edge of the uppermost printing paper is cut under operation of a paper output motor.
