TECHNIQUE FOR MARKING A PROLATE OBJECT
A device for providing a marking arranged or arrangeable in a circumferentially closed manner around a prolate object includes: a material interface for receiving a printed product output from a printer; a data interface for communicating with the printer for a providing or arranging of the marking as a communication; at least one actuator, using the printed product output from the printer, for arranging the marking on the object in a circumferentially closed manner or to provide the marking for circumferentially closed arrangement according to the communication with the printer via the data interface; and a memory readable by the printer via the data interface, the memory storing operational data of the providing or arranging.
Container decoration apparatus and method
A container body decorator (10) has a controller (300) with a software stored in a memory. A plurality of ink-jet printing heads (108) is in communication with the controller (300). A segmented image transfer blanket (116) has a circumferential configuration with an inner surface opposite a printing surface. A printing site (124) is located along the segmented image transfer blanket (116). A container body handling module (200) delivers container bodies to the printing site (124).
Food service cup dispensers, systems, and methods
Systems for providing on-demand cup printing and dispensing for food service are provided herein. A cup dispenser includes a cup source configured to hold a stack of cups and one or more cup-moving elements configured to cause a cup from the stack of cups to move through the cup dispenser. The cup dispenser includes a motor configured to operate the one or more cup-moving elements to cause the cup to move through the cup dispenser along a path. The cup dispenser also includes a printer configured to print at least one of order information or personalization information on the cup that is based on the food service order associated with the cup. The cup dispenser further includes a dispensing section that provides the cup, which includes the at least one of order information or personalization information printed thereon.
Medium-discharging device and recording apparatus
A medium-discharging device includes: a medium-discharging section that discharges a medium; a medium-receiving tray that receives the medium discharged by the medium-discharging section; a light-emitting section that emits light to the medium-receiving tray; and a control section that controls the light-emitting section, in which the medium-receiving tray is configured to switch between a first state in which the medium-receiving tray is stored in an apparatus main body that includes the medium-discharging section and a second state in which the medium-receiving tray protrudes from the apparatus main body, and the control section controls the light-emitting section in accordance with a state or operation of the medium-receiving tray.

Post-processing device
A post-processing device includes a processing tray on which a medium on which recording was performed by a recording unit is loaded, a rear end alignment unit that aligns a rear end (an example of an end portion) of the medium on the processing tray, a post-processing unit that performs post-processing on the medium aligned by the rear end alignment unit, and a pressing member that presses the rear end of the medium. The post-processing unit is configured to be movable. The pressing member is provided to be rotatable in conjunction with movement of the post-processing unit, in a state in which the pressing member is in contact with the medium aligned by the rear end alignment unit.

Printing device
A printing device includes a panel unit including: a display panel; a capacitive touch sensor in which a position detection sensor and a cover glass are laminated and which includes a first side and a second side located facing each other; a panel circuit board; a flexible wiring board, a display section, a switch, and a panel housing, and being rotatably attached so as to take a second attachment state in which an angle formed by a horizontal direction and a normal direction of the capacitive touch sensor is smaller than an angle formed by a vertical direction and the normal direction of the capacitive touch sensor, the capacitive touch sensor in the second attachment state is disposed so that the first side is lower than the second side, and the flexible wiring board is located between the display section and the switch and is curved to electrically couple the capacitive touch sensor and the panel circuit board to each other.
Printer
A desired image is printed in a non-contact state on a print object surface with a flyable printer in which a printing device is mounted in a flying object. The printer includes a flying object having a body part, a controller, and a drive part; and a print head, mounted in the flying object, to print a desired image in a non-contact state, on a print object which the flying object has approached. The print head is driven while a gap is maintained at a predetermined value by bringing a gap adjustment part attached to the body part of the flying object into contact with the print object or by accurate control of the drive part. It is possible to print a desired image in good image quality regardless of the state of the surface of the print object.
