A printer control system for controlling an inkjet printer that prints an image having a predetermined thickness on a print medium includes: an image data creating/editing portion, configured for creating and editing an image data; and a printer control portion, configured for converting the image data sent from the image data creating/editing portion into a printing data and sending the printing data to the inkjet printer. When a portion for allowing the image to have a thickness in the image printed on the print medium is defined as a thick portion, the image data sent from the image data creating/editing portion to the printer control portion includes at least one of: a thickness information regarding a thickness of the thick portion, and a shape information regarding a shape of an end portion of the thick portion.

The present invention enables successful printing whether printing data contains a character code of either code page or Unicode without an addition of an apparatus for code conversion and without expansion of printer memory for storing Unicode font set. Upon receipt of the input of printing data containing the character code of the code page, a first print control unit is selected to control printing of a string represented by the code page with a font available for the code page. Upon receipt of the input of printing data containing the character code of Unicode, a second print control unit is selected to convert the character code of Unicode to the character code of the code page and to control printing of a string represented by the Unicode with a font available for the code page on the basis of the code page after conversion.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores a support program executable by a computer of an information processing device and conforming to a printer connected with the information processing device. The support program causes, when executed by the computer, the information processing device to obtain, from an external device, image information indicating an image for composition registered in the external device, and causes a user interface to display the image information. The support program further causes, when executed, the information processing device to perform a printing process to cause the printer to print a composite image in which the image for composition indicated by the image information is combined with a target image to be printed, in response to a print instruction with a print setting for image composition being output from an application program to a general-purpose print program incorporated in an operating system of the information processing device.
