A printing apparatus for printing on a printing medium. The apparatus includes the following elements: a transport mechanism for transporting the printing medium in a transport direction; a first print head for printing an image on the printing medium, and printing a lead line used as a reference for determining a printing position in a width direction; a second print head for performing printing based on a position of the lead line; a printing position sensor for detecting the position of the lead line in the width direction; and a moving mechanism for moving the printing position sensor in the width direction of the printing medium according to a width dimension of the printing medium.

A printing device includes a main body, an opening/closing cover that is coupled to the main body and moves to an open position or a closed position, a roll paper holder provided on the main body and configured to accommodate a first roll paper, and a remaining amount detecting section that detects a remaining amount of the first roll paper accommodated in the roll paper holder, and the remaining amount detecting section shifts from a first state in which the remaining amount of the first roll paper is not detected to a second state in which the remaining amount of the first roll paper is detected, with movement of the opening/closing cover from the open position to the closed position.

A control unit in an inkjet recording device controls a drive roller to stop a conveyance belt such that, after completion of a print job, a reference specifying portion of the conveyance belt is stopped at a position on an upstream side in a conveyance direction of the conveyance belt from a detecting position of a reference detection sensor by a particular distance or longer. The plurality of holes in each of the plurality of hole rows is arranged in the circumferential direction, and the plurality of hole rows is arranged in the radial direction. When the first member rotates with respect to the second member, the number of holes communicating with the grooves is changed to change the number of the plurality of suction holes communicating with the suction unit. The plurality of holes includes two or more holes that simultaneously communicate with the suction unit when the first member rotates by a unit rotation amount.
