Inkjet printer
Inkjet printer (1) operable to print a print substrate made of textile, paper or plastic material, or the like, and provided with a sliding transfer surface (10) to feed the print substrate (2) in a feed direction (9); a printing device (17) arranged above the transfer surface (10) to define, on the transfer surface (10), a printing station (19); suction means (20) arranged below the transfer surface (10) to maintain the print substrate adhering to and stationary with respect to the transfer surface (10) during sliding; and an adjustment assembly to adjust planarity of the transfer surface (10).
Image recording apparatus
An image recording apparatus for recording an image on a sheet includes a recording section which records the image on the sheet in a transport passage for transporting the sheet in a transport direction and multiple plates which are spaced apart from each other in a widthwise direction. These multiple plates include a first type of plate and a second type of plate. Plates of a first type of plate are configured to overlap a sheet when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the transport direction and the widthwise direction, while plates of the second type of plate do not.
Sheet-supply tray
A sheet-supply tray device for use with an image recording apparatus, includes a lower sheet-supply tray and an upper sheet-supply tray. The upper sheet-supply tray includes a main body, a leading-end stopper, a trailing-end stopper and a side-end stopper. The main body includes a support surface that supports a recording sheet. The leading-end stopper is fixed on the main body and stops a leading end of the recording sheet. The trailing-end stopper includes a trailing-end contact surface having a trailing-end protrusion extending over an upper surface of a trailing-end portion of the recording sheet toward the leading-end stopper. The trailing-end contact surface contacts a trailing end of the recording sheet. The side-end stopper includes a side-end contact surface that contacts a side end of the recording sheet. The side-end contact surface has at least one side-end protrusion extending over an upper surface of a side-end portion of the recording sheet.
Ink-jet recording apparatus
An ink-jet recording apparatus includes: an image recorder; a first supporter including support ribs extending to positions under the image recorder; an ink receiver disposed downstream of the support ribs; first and second roller pairs disposed downstream of the first supporter; a guide; and a protrusion disposed between the ink receiver and the first roller pair and having an upper end located below upper ends of the support ribs and above a first imaginary line connecting between a nip position of the first roller pair and a downstream end of the ink receiver. A distance between an upstream end of the ink receiver and a nip position of the second roller pair is less than a length of a first-size sheet and greater than a length of a second-size sheet. The protrusion is disposed, in a widthwise direction, in a region through which the second-size sheet is conveyed.
PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes a platen including a first guide rail and a second guide rail mutually parallel in a width direction that intersects a transport direction of a medium; an edge holder including a plate-shaped member that covers an end portion of the medium in the width direction, a first engaging portion that engages with the first guide rail, and a second engaging portion that engages with the second guide rail; and a changing portion that is provided on the first engaging portion side and is for changing a position of the plate-shaped member in the width direction. A space in the transport direction formed between the first engaging portion and the first guide rail is narrower than a space in the transport direction formed between the second engaging portion and the second guide rail.
Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes a transport portion that transports a medium, a printing head that performs printing on the medium, a medium detection device that is arranged upstream of the printing head in a transport direction of the medium and detects a side edge of the medium in a width direction intersecting with the transport direction, and a control unit that controls the transport portion, the printing head, and the medium detection device.
MEDIUM TRANSPORTING DEVICE AND RECORDING APPARATUS
A medium transporting device provided in a printer includes a curved path in which a paper sheet after recording is curved and inverted, a plurality of first ribs that extend in a medium transportation direction in a facing area facing a recording head, that are provided at intervals in a width direction intersecting the medium transportation direction, and that form cockling on the paper sheet, a plurality of second ribs that are provided on an outer curved portion of the curved path, and a plurality of third ribs that are provided on an inner curved portion of the curved path. The plurality of second ribs and the plurality of third ribs are disposed at positions in the width direction that correspond to a mountain portion and a valley portion of the cockling of the paper sheet that is formed by the plurality of first ribs.
Inkjet recording apparatus
An image forming apparatus may include a mechanism for forming a corrugated shape in a sheet to be conveyed. The mechanism may include various components include one or more pressing portions, one or more ribs, one or more discharge rollers, a switching mechanism and the like. In one arrangement, ribs and pressing portions configured to create the corrugated shape may be disposed at various locations upstream or downstream of the platen, recording portion and/or nozzles thereof. In one example, pressing portions may be disposed both upstream and downstream of the nozzles of the recording portion to maintain a corrugated shape in the conveyed sheet. Various other configurations may be used.
BASE MATERIAL PROCESSING APPARATUS AND DETECTION METHOD
A base material processing apparatus includes a first edge sensor, a second edge sensor, and a displacement amount calculation part. The first edge sensor acquires a first detection result (R1) by detecting the position of an edge of a base material in the width direction at a first detection position. The second edge sensor acquires a second detection result (R2) by detecting the position of the edge of the base material in the width direction at a second detection position. The displacement amount calculation part calculates the amount of displacement in the position of the base material in the transport direction on the basis of the first detection result (R1) and the second detection result (R2). Accordingly, the amount of displacement in the position of the base material in the transport direction can be detected without depending on images such as register marks.
