Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a transport unit that transports a recording medium along a transport path to a formation area in which an image is formed on the recording medium, an image forming unit that forms the image on the recording medium in the formation area, and a protrusion amount setting unit that sets a protrusion amount of the image protruding from the recording medium to a first protrusion amount in a first case, and sets the protrusion amount to a second protrusion amount larger than the first protrusion amount in a second case where the recording medium is inclined to a transport direction more than the first case.
PRINTER AND METHOD FOR PRINTING
A printer includes a printing device to print an image on a sheet, a carriage mounting the printing device, the carriage to scan in a main-scanning direction, a detector on the carriage, the detector to detect a presence and an absence of the sheet, and circuitry to detect an edge position of the sheet in the main-scanning direction based on a detection result by the detector while the printing device prints a first scan of the image on the sheet, adjust a print start position at which the printing device starts printing a second scan of the image on the sheet based on the edge position detected in the first scan, and control the printing device to print the second scan of the image from the print start position.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD FOR FORMING IMAGE ON IMAGE FORMING MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming device forming an image on an image forming medium based on image data; a medium reading device acquiring, on a conveyance path, medium image data representing the image forming medium; an abnormality detector using the image data to generate contrast image region data for specifying an image formation target region that is a region targeted for image formation, using the medium image data to generate contrast medium region data for specifying an image formation permitted region that is a region on the image forming medium where the image formation is enabled, and detecting, as an abnormal region, the image formation target region present outside of the image formation permitted region or a region corresponding to deficiency present within the image formation permitted region; and an abnormality related information output device using the medium image data to output abnormality related information.
Image Recording Apparatus, Control Method Thereof, and Medium Storing Program Executable By Image Recording Apparatus
There is provided an image recording apparatus including an image recording head; a scanner; a conveyer; and a controller. The controller is configured to execute first and second recording modes in which the controller causes the image recording head to accelerate to first and second velocities, to move at the first and second velocities, and then to decelerate from the first and second velocities, while causing the image recording head to record the image at least during moving at the first and second velocities, respectively. In a case that the controller has determined, based on printing data, that the image is to be recorded during a first velocity changing period, the controller executes the second recording mode, the first velocity changing period includes a first acceleration and deceleration periods in which the image recording head accelerates and decelerate, respectively.
Depositing print agent
A method of printing is disclosed. The printing may involve printing on a printable medium using a print head having a plurality of nozzles, the printable medium having a leading edge and a defined zone adjacent to the leading edge. The print head may be to deposit print agent onto the printable medium via the plurality of nozzles during successive printing passes. The method may comprise: during a first printing pass, depositing print agent from a subset of the plurality of nozzles onto the printable medium outside the defined zone. The method may further comprise: advancing the printable medium by a defined distance. The method may further comprise: during a second printing pass, depositing print agent from a subset of the plurality of nozzles onto the printable medium within the defined zone.
Recording apparatus
There is provided a recording apparatus including a recording head, a support member which is disposed to face the recording head and on which a plurality of ribs for supporting a medium are formed, the plurality of ribs include a plurality of first ribs which are provided in a medium width direction and a plurality of second ribs which are positioned on a downstream side from the first ribs and are provided in the medium width direction, each of the second ribs has a guide surface for scooping up a leading edge of the medium which is fed backward, and the guide surface includes a first guide surface which is formed on each of the second ribs and a second guide surface which is formed on each of the second ribs.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF MINIMIZING SIZE OF BLANK AREA, IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes an image reading portion, a reduction processing portion, a data processing portion, and a print processing portion. The image reading portion reads image data of a print target sheet. The reduction processing portion reduces external shape data included in the image data based on a predetermined ratio. The data processing portion executes a blank forming process to form a blank area in the print target data by using the external shape data that has been reduced by the reduction processing portion, and executes an obfuscation process to obfuscate a border of the print target area. The print processing portion causes the image forming portion to form an image on the print target sheet based on the print target data that has been subjected to the processes executed by the data processing portion.
METHOD, SYSTEM, AND APPARATUS
In a case where a predetermined sheet size is selected by a user from a plurality of sheet sizes displayed on a display, an image larger than the predetermined size is printed. In a case where a sheet size is input by the user in an input screen displayed on the display, an image having a size corresponding to the input sheet size is printed.
PRINTING APPARATUS, PRINTING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus includes: a print head configured to eject ink based on print data; a conveyance unit configured to convey printing medium in a conveyance direction; a receiving portion configured to receive ink ejected beyond a first end of the printing medium in an intersecting direction, which intersects the conveyance direction; and a slitter configured to cut the printing medium in the conveyance direction at a predetermined position, wherein printing on one side of the printing medium in the intersecting direction is performed from the first end through the receiving portion, and wherein printing on the other side of the printing medium in the intersecting direction is performed beyond the predetermined position toward a second end side, which is on an opposite side of the first end.
DROP-ON-DEMAND CARD PRINTER WITH INK TRAY
A drop-on-demand plastic card printer includes a tray disposed underneath the plastic card during drop-on-demand printing to catch any overspray that may occur during printing on the plastic card. The tray may be disposable so that the tray is intended to be removed and disposed of. An ink absorbent pad can be disposed in the tray to absorb the oversprayed ink. The ink absorbent pad can be disposed of along with the tray or disposed of separately from the tray.
