Transport device and recording device
A transport device includes a transport belt having a support surface configured to support a medium, and configured to transport the medium supported by the support surface, a cleaning roller including an absorbent member configured to absorb cleaning liquid, and configured to clean the support surface as the absorbent member comes into contact with the support surface, a supply unit configured to supply the cleaning liquid to the cleaning roller, and a spray unit configured to spray gas to the support surface cleaned by the cleaning roller. The spray unit is configured to spray the gas to the cleaning roller.
Sheet feeding device and image forming apparatus incorporating same
A sheet feeding device includes a sheet loading table on which a bundle of sheets is stacked, an identification mark on an end face of the sheet loading table, and an imaging unit to identify the identification mark.
LIQUID EJECTING DEVICE AND AIR BLOWING DEVICE
A printer includes an ejecting head that ejects ink, a glued belt including a support surface, a first fan and a second fan configured to blow air toward the support surface, and a facing portion facing a portion of the first fan and a portion of the second fan. The facing portion includes an opening that opens in the Z direction. The opening is located between the first fan and the second fan in the X direction when viewed in the Z direction. When a spacing in the X direction at a first position in the +Y direction is defined as the first spacing and a spacing in the X direction at a second position upstream of the first position in the +Y direction is defined as the second spacing, the second spacing is larger than the first spacing.
RECORDING SYSTEM AND DRYING DEVICE
A recording system includes a recording device including a recording unit configured to perform recording, and a drying device including a drying mechanism. The recording device includes a support surface configured to support the recording medium and provided downstream of the recording unit in the conveyance direction, the device is configured to be mounted on the recording device at a position where the support surface and the drying mechanism face each other, one of the recording device and the drying device includes a setting member configured to set a spacing between the support surface and the drying mechanism to a predetermined spacing when the drying device is mounted on the recording device, the drying mechanism functions when the spacing is set to the predetermined spacing by the setting member, and a function of the drying mechanism stops when the setting by the setting member is released.
RECORDING SYSTEM, RECORDING APPARATUS AND RECORDING METHOD
A recording system that when formation of the image is restarted after a temporal stop of the formation of the image by temporarily stopping the conveyance of the recording target medium by the first conveyance unit and the discharging of the ink from the discharging part, a distance from a first position to a recording restart position is an integer multiple of image formation pitch, the first position being based on a position, at the time of the temporal stop, of the image that is formed on the recording target medium before the temporal stop, the recording restart position being a position where the ink is discharged at the time of the restart; and performing the post-processing on the recording target medium at the post-processing unit each time the recording target medium is conveyed, by the second conveyance unit, a distance corresponding to the image formation pitch.
Image forming apparatus
An image print apparatus capable of printing multiple pages on a rolled printing medium includes a conveyance unit that conveys the printing medium, a printing unit that prints on the printing medium, and a cutting unit that cuts out the printing medium. The conveyance unit performs a first conveyance operation to convey the printing medium by a predetermined length in a direction to discharge the printing medium and to stop the conveyance, which is carried out after completion of printing of one page by the printing unit and before settlement of a print start position of a next page, and a second conveyance operation including an operation to convey the printing medium in the direction to discharge until the print start position reaches a position of the printing unit, which is carried out after settlement of the print start position of the next page.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes a sheet feeding device including a sheet feed tray on which a medium is mounted in an inclined orientation, a feeding roller configured to feed the medium, and a sheet feed slot that is defined by the sheet feed tray and the feeding roller i, and a recording section configured to perform recording onto the medium fed from the sheet feeding device. The recording apparatus includes a scanner unit that is disposed on a body of the recording apparatus and functions as a reading device for reading a document, and a guiding member that is inclined from a side surface of a guiding member installation section that is a side surface of the scanner unit on a sheet feed tray side in a state in which the scanner unit is closed with respect to the body of the recording apparatus.
PRINT ZONE ENCODER
In one example, a system to support print media through a print zone in a printer includes an endless support belt, a driver to circulate the support belt through the print zone, and an encoder unit under the print zone to measure movement of the support belt in the print zone.
DUAL DRIVE PRINT MEDIA CONVEYOR BELT
In one example, a system to convey print media through a print zone in a printer includes an endless conveyor belt in a loop, a pair of drivers to circulate the conveyor belt through the print zone from opposite ends of the loop, an encoder to measure movement of the conveyor belt, and a controller programmed to control both drivers driving the conveyor belt based on measurements from the encoder.
CONTROL METHOD OF IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A processor measures a pulse interval for a plurality of rotational phases of a rotary encoder, respectively. Each time the pulse interval is measured, the processor accumulates a measured value, which is the pulse interval or a moving average of the pulse interval of time-series data in association with corresponding one of the plurality of rotational phases, and records the measured value in a storage device. The processor derives a plurality of reference values corresponding to the plurality of rotational phases. Each time the measured value is newly obtained, the processor derives a correction value of a time interval of ink ejection of the inkjet recording apparatus in accordance with a difference between the measured value that is newly obtained and a corresponding reference value. The corresponding reference value corresponds to one of the rotational phases which corresponds to the measured value that is newly obtained.
