NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING SET OF PROGRAM INSTRUCTIONS FOR CREATING A PLURALITY OF PRINT LABELS WITH PRINTING DEVICE
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores a set of program instructions including: (a) generating; (b) generating; (c) setting; and (d) displaying. The (a) generating generates a plurality of sets of print data corresponding to respective ones of a plurality of print labels used in an overlaid state. The (b) generating generates a plurality of sets of medium type information for respective ones of the plurality of print labels. Each medium type information indicates a type of a printing medium used for creating a corresponding print label. The (c) setting sets a layering order for the plurality of print labels. The (d) displaying displays a list of the plurality of sets of medium type information on a display. The plurality of sets of medium type information is arranged in the layering order for the plurality of print labels corresponding to respective ones of the plurality of sets of medium type information.
Sheet processing apparatus, and method and computer-readable medium therefor
A sheet processing apparatus including a controller configured to move a carriage from an initial position to such a position that an optical sensor traverses one of two side edges of a sheet in a scanning direction, in a direction along the scanning direction, in response to the sheet reaching a position opposed to the optical sensor, adjust a light emitting quantity of the optical sensor while the carriage is being moved, within a period from when the carriage begins to move from the initial position to when the optical sensor traverses the one side edge, calculate a position of the one side edge traversed by the optical sensor after the adjustment, based on detection values, corresponding to the light receiving quantity, output from the optical sensor after the adjustment, and identify edge positions of the two side edges based on the calculated position of the one side edge.
METHOD FOR PRINTING AN IMAGE ON A SUBSTRATE ON A SUPPORT BODY
A method is provided for printing an image on a substrate on a support body of a printing apparatus, the method including the steps of: providing a masking sheet on the support body; deriving from the image a boundary outline of the image; selecting a location on the support body for printing the image; printing the boundary outline of the image on the masking sheet at the selected location of the support body; printing at least one distance marker on at least one side of the printed boundary outline on the masking sheet, said distance marker indicating a distance from the boundary outline; placing the substrate on the masking sheet at the selected location of the support body using the boundary outline; determining an offset of the substrate relative to the printed boundary outline by way of the printed distance marker, after the substrate placing step; and printing the image on the substrate based on the determined offset of the substrate relative to the printed boundary outline.
Image forming apparatus and method of correcting positional deviation of sheet
An image forming apparatus, in which a method of correcting a positional deviation of a sheet is performed, includes a detecting device to detect a position of the sheet, a pair of sheet conveying bodies to convey the sheet and correct the positional deviation of the sheet, an image forming device to form an image on the sheet, and circuitry to calculate a first positional deviation amount of the sheet based on a first detection result of the detecting device, cause the pair of sheet conveying bodies to correct the positional deviation of the sheet based on the first positional deviation amount, calculate a second positional deviation amount of the sheet based on a second detection result of the detecting device, and cause the image forming device to correct the positional deviation of an image forming position on the sheet based on the second positional deviation amount.
LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS, LIQUID EJECTION SYSTEM, AND LIQUID EJECTION METHOD
A liquid ejection apparatus is provided that includes a plurality of liquid ejection head units that are configured to eject liquid onto a conveyed object being conveyed; a detection unit that is provided with respect to each liquid ejection head unit of the plurality of liquid ejection head units and is configured to output a detection result indicating at least one of a position, a moving speed, and an amount of movement of the conveyed object with respect to a conveying direction of the conveyed object; and a control unit configured to control the each liquid ejection head unit of the plurality of liquid ejection head units to eject liquid at a timing based on a plurality of the detection results of a plurality of the detection units.
Image registration for printing
A method for printing on an article can include positioning an article in a print bed of a printing device. The fiducial is disposed in the print bed. The method can also include generating an image of the article and the fiducial, locating the fiducial in the image, using the fiducial to establish a point of reference relative to a print location on the article, providing a raster or vector graphic file comprising a graphic, printing a representation of the graphic on the article at the print location, and removing the article from the print bed.
LIQUID DISCHARGING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND LIQUID DISCHARGING SYSTEM
A liquid discharging apparatus includes a tension applying unit configured to apply a predetermined tension capable of stretching an object, to the object; and a liquid discharging unit configured to discharge liquid on the object that is stretched by the predetermined tension applied by the tension applying unit to form a an original image or a corrected image of the original image on the object, the corrected image being corrected by a degree of stretching of a predetermined image when the object on which the predetermined image is formed is stretched by applying the predetermined tension to the object.
Printing Utilizing A Virtual Mask
A method and apparatus for printing on an article are disclosed. An embodiment of a method may include the generation of a virtual mask that can designate areas for printing and/or designate areas to exclude from printing. A method may include utilization of the virtual mask during either 2D or 3D printing such that a print design is printed in areas designated for printing by the virtual mask.
METHOD FOR DIGITALLY PRINTING A PROFILED STRIP
The invention relates to a method for digitally printing a profiled strip (1) having a plurality of digital print heads (2) which are aligned with respect to contour portions (4, 5, 6) of the profiled strip (1) and are moved in this aligned reference position (a, b, c, d) relative to the profiled strip (1) along the longitudinal strips of the profiled strip determined by the contour portions (4, 5, 6) at a predetermined distance, wherein the nozzles of the print heads (2) are controlled with respect to the ink delivery as a function of a print template. In order to ensure advantageous method conditions, it is proposed that individual contour portions (4, 5, 6) are assigned reference planes (7) by an evaluation program on the basis of data reproducing the contour (3) of the profiled strip (1) in the printing area, in that the print heads (2) are aligned with respect to these reference planes (7), and in that the nozzles of the aligned print heads (2) are controlled with respect to the ink delivery with a correction value which takes into account the deviation of the respective contour portion (4, 5, 6) from the reference plane (7).
