RECONFIGURABLE SUPPORT PADS FOR FABRIC IMAGE TRANSFERS
The techniques described herein relate generally to reconfigurable support pads for fabric image transfers. Specifically, according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, reconfigurable support pads are provided for fabric image transfers (e.g., silk screening, heat transfer, direct-to-garment printing, etc.). In particular, the techniques herein provide for various adjustable configurations of portions of the fabric substrate support, which may be changed for different thicknesses of garments, and more particularly, that allow for varied thicknesses found on the same garment. For example, by configuring the support in a first flat configuration, a plain tee shirt may lay flat, and then configuring the support in a second two-tiered configuration, with one portion lower (or higher) than the other, allows for a hoodie with a thicker pocket portion at the belly of the garment to also lay flat. Other configurations are also available, whether manually adjusted or else dynamically controlled (e.g., using actuators) based on the type of garment selected on an associated control system.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a holder, a pre-treatment head, a smoother, and a print head. The holder reciprocally moves while holding a recording medium. The pre-treatment head discharges a pre-treatment liquid onto a surface of the recording medium held by the holder. The smoother smooths the pre-treatment liquid, which is discharged onto the surface of the recording medium, along the surface of the recording medium by a movement of the holder. The print head discharges a printing liquid onto the surface of the recording medium with the pre-treatment liquid smoothed.
Image forming method and image forming apparatus
An image forming method is provided that includes discharging, from a liquid discharged head, a white ink onto a recording medium to form a first layer having a first width, and a color ink onto the first layer to form a second layer having a second width. When the second width is equal to or smaller than a threshold, the first width is equal to the second width, and when the second width is larger than the threshold, the first width is smaller than the second width.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, a base, circuitry, and a detector. The image forming device includes a recording head to form an image on a recording medium conveyed in a conveyance direction. The base supports the recording medium and is movable in the conveyance direction. A type of the base is changeable according to a type of the recording medium. The circuitry sets a detection range in the conveyance direction. The detector detects, before the image is formed, a collision between the recording head and the recording medium on the base, in the detection range set by the circuitry.
Print device
A print device includes a head unit holding a heat sink, a head holding member holding the head unit, a platen roller, a support shaft supporting the head holding member to pivot between a close position and a separated position, an urging member, and an adjustment mechanism including an adjustment shaft and an eccentric cam. The separated position is a position where the print head is separated from the platen roller than the close position. The urging member urges the head unit and applies a pressing load pressing the print head against the platen roller. The eccentric cam rotates around the adjustment shaft and coming into contact with the head holding member in a state of being offset with respect to the adjustment shaft. The adjustment mechanism adjusts a position of heating elements of the heat sink with respect to the platen roller by rotating of the eccentric cam.

Organic vapor jet printing system
Systems and methods for depositing materials on a substrate via OVJP are provided. A float table and grippers are used to move and position the substrate relative to one or more OVJP print bars to reduce the chance of damaging or compromising the substrate or prior depositions.
Movable assembly and printing apparatus
A movable assembly configured to move a table in a first direction is provided. The movable assembly includes a first link member including a first elongated member and a second elongated member coupled in an X formation, a second link member including a third elongated member and a fourth elongated member coupled in the X formation, a first frame member, a second frame member, and a rotatable member being a threaded rod. The first frame member includes a first supporting portion and a first guiding portion, which support ends of the first, second, third, and fourth elongated members on one side rotatably. The second frame member includes a second supporting portion and a second guiding portion, which support other ends of the first, second, third, and fourth elongated members located on the other side movably in the third direction.
PROCESSING DEVICE AND PLATEN
A processing device capable of performing appropriate processing on a set platen, and a platen are provided. A platen that is used in a printer and at least one of a pretreatment device and a post-treatment device is provided with a platen identification information portion that identifies the platen. A code reader receives platen identification information that identifies the platen, from the platen identification information portion. The printer and at least one of the pretreatment device and the post-treatment device perform processing on the basis of the platen identification information received by the code reader.
