According to one embodiment, a printer and a method can print information printed as a header without a reduction even when a gap from a printing head to a cutting unit is short. The printer includes the printing head, the cutting unit, an input unit, a storage control unit, a first printing control unit, a cutting control unit, and a second printing control unit. The printing head performs printing on a roll paper. The cutting unit is disposed on a downstream side in a conveyance direction of the roll paper from the printing head, and cuts the roll paper. The input unit receives an input of printing information. The storage control unit stores the printing information. The first printing control unit prints the printing information if a length in the conveyance direction of the stored printing information is equal to or more than a setting value. When receiving a cut request, the cutting control unit performs cutting if the length in the conveyance direction of the printing information is the setting value. The second printing control unit prints the printing information if the roll paper is cut.

The feeding tray includes a first accommodation part in which a roll body having a configuration where a sheet-shaped medium is rolled in a roll shape is accommodated and a second accommodation part in which stacked sheet-shaped media are accommodated. The first guide member guides a sheet-shaped medium to a conveying path. The second guide member guides a roll medium unrolled from the roll body to the conveying path. The second guide member is movable between a guide position for guiding the roll medium to the conveying path, and a retreat position further distant from the first guide member than the guide position and where the second guide member does not interfere with a sheet-shaped medium accommodated in the second accommodation part.

A printing data creating apparatus comprises a display, a transmitter, a controller, an input unit, and a storage. The controller is configured to display a label creation screen for the label including an attribution information input field and a standard label instruction field for instructing edition of a standard label in accordance with a prescribed standard, when the standard label instruction field is operated, display a plurality of standard input fields in addition to the attribution information input field, each of the plurality of standard input fields being a input field to which standard information as information in accordance with the prescribed standard is input, create printing data of the standard label, and transmit the created printing data of the standard label from the transmitter to the printing apparatus.

A paper management system setting a paper information piece of paper stored in a sheet feeding unit in an image forming apparatus from a list of paper information pieces registers the paper information pieces with a favorite group, displays a list of the paper information pieces for each favorite group, and enables the list of the paper information pieces to be associated with a paper feed unit through the screen displaying the list.

A printing data creating apparatus comprises a display, a transmitter, a controller, an input unit, and a storage. Systems for providing on-demand food service material printing for food service are provided herein. A food service material dispenser comprises a roll holder configured to hold a roll of food service material, one or more rollers, and a motor configured to operate to translate the food service material along a path within the dispenser. The dispenser includes a cutting arrangement configured to perform a cut of the food service material to form the sheet of food service material that defines a size associated with a food service order. The dispenser also includes a printer configured to print at least one of order information or personalization information on the food service material that is based on the associated food service order. The dispenser further includes a chute configured to dispense the sheet of food service material, which includes the at least one of order information or personalization information printed thereon.
