Printing device including discharge tray positioned downstream of and below cutter unit
11806994 · 2023-11-07 · ·

A printing device includes: a pair of conveyer rollers for nipping a printing medium at a nipping position and conveying the printing medium in a conveying direction; a cutter unit positioned downstream of the conveyer rollers; a discharge tray positioned downstream of and below the cutter unit; and a controller. The controller is configured to perform: (a) cutting the printing medium by the cutter unit into first and second printing mediums; and (b) discharging the second conveying medium on top of the first printing medium on the discharge tray. The discharge tray is positioned to satisfy a formula of H1>4×10.sup.−7×D1.sup.4, where H1 represents a distance in a gravitational direction between the nipping position and a mounting surface of the discharge tray; and D1 represents a distance in the conveying direction between the nipping position and a downstream end of the cutter unit.

Fabric printing on nested patterns, and associated print systems and products thereof

Disclosed are methods that couple effective nesting of fabric, as part of a textile cutting process, in which designs and/or graphic elements are directly printed on the nested elements, instead of on the entire textile sheet. Embodiments of the invention can address issues of waste and redundant printing, such as by starting with a blank textile roll, and printing only in the geometry areas of the patterns. Embodiments of the invention can increase fabric yield, because there are no constraints between the pattern geometries and the textile sheet print.

A decorative panel kit for privacy fences has a plurality of panels. Each panel has a portion of an image imprinted on an exterior surface. Upon assembly to a privacy fence section, the assembled plurality of panels has adjacent panels each with the portion of the image aligned to depict a complete image. Each panel is sized with a length (L) extending from a first end to a second end and portions of the length adjacent the ends are configured to fit into a space formed in a privacy fence section between extending members and fence boards. The extending members include a first member and a second member. The first and second members hold a plurality of fence boards to form the privacy fence sections. The end portions of the length of each panel are held in the space between the first and second members and the fence boards.

Printer capable of setting to forcible discharge mode for forcibly expelling printed medium piece out of printer casing

A printer includes a printing unit, a conveying unit, a cutting unit, a casing and a controller. The controller is configured to perform receiving a setting for a discharge mode of a printed medium piece. The controller is configured to further perform, in a case where the discharge mode is currently set to a forcible discharge mode, forcibly discharging the printed medium piece from the casing through the discharging opening, a leading edge of a continuous printing medium being conveyed by a first feed amount in the conveying direction by driving the conveying unit such that the printed medium piece is pushed by the leading edge of the continuous printing medium. The controller is configured to further perform, in a case where the discharge mode is currently set to a non-forcible discharge mode, non-forcibly discharging the printed medium piece from the casing.

Printing apparatus

A printing apparatus includes a conveyance unit configured to be able to convey a roll sheet that is wound in a rolled shape and a cut sheet that is not wound in a rolled shape to a printing unit configured to print an image; a receiving unit detachably attached to the apparatus, the receiving unit being configured to receive the cut sheet onto which printing has been performed by the printing unit; a detection unit configured to detect whether the receiving unit is attached to the apparatus; and a holding unit configured to, in a case where the detection unit detects that the receiving unit is not attached to the apparatus, nip to hold the cut sheet onto which printing has been performed by the printing unit.
