IMAGE PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING IMAGE PRINTING APPARATUS
An image printing apparatus includes: a print head configured to print an image on a printing medium; a conveyance unit configured to convey the printing medium in a conveyance direction; a detection unit movable in an intersection direction intersecting the conveyance direction and configured to detect an end of the printing medium in the intersection direction; a cutting unit located downstream of a printing region of the print head in the conveyance direction and capable of cutting the printing medium by being moved in the intersection direction; and a control unit configured to control movement of the detection unit such that the detection unit detects a position of the end of the printing medium during movement of the cutting unit for a cutting operation of cutting the printing medium.
Half cutter and tape printing apparatus
A half cutter includes a blade, a blade holder to which the blade is fixed, a blade receiving member which the blade approaches to or departs from, a blade receiving holder to which the blade receiving member is fixed, a spacer which is provided to at least one of the blade and the blade receiving member and generates a gap between the blade and the blade receiving member when the blade approaches the blade receiving member, and a fixing member that fixes the spacer to at least one of the blade holder and the blade receiving holder.

POST-PROCESSING DEVICE AND LIQUID DISCHARGE DEVICE
Provided are a placement table configured to place a medium onto which liquid is discharged, a perforation member configured to perform perforation by imparting a shear force to the medium placed at the placement table, a die hole provided at the placement table, a perforation member moving section configured to move the perforation member between a standby position above the die hole and a perforating position at which the perforation member enters the die hole, and a control unit configured to control operation of the perforation member moving section, wherein when the control unit obtains perforation failure information during perforating operation in which the perforation member starts moving from the standby position and moves through the perforating position to the standby position, the control unit is configured to control the perforation member moving section so that a shear force is again imparted to the medium.

PRINTING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND CONVEYANCE APPARATUS
To provide a technology capable of appropriately suppressing deterioration in cutting accuracy of a slitter although the rigidity of a print medium changes, a printing apparatus is equipped with: a first conveyance unit configured to convey a print medium; a printing unit configured to print an image by applying ink to the print medium conveyed by the first conveyance unit; a cutting unit disposed on a downstream side in a conveyance direction in which the print medium is conveyed by the first conveyance unit and configured to cut the print medium, which is conveyed by the first conveyance unit, along the conveyance direction; and a second conveyance unit disposed on the cutting unit, and the printing apparatus includes a correction unit configured to correct a parameter related to conveyance of at least one of the first conveyance unit and the second conveyance unit, based on information about the print medium.
Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes: a first conveyor that unspools a rolled-up medium for transport; a print head that prints on the medium; a cutter that cuts off, from the medium, a printed portion on which printing has been performed by the print head; a second conveyor that transports, in a sandwiching manner, the printed portion cut off by the cutter; a drive that drives at least the first conveyor; and a processor that controls the drive, wherein after the printed portion is cut off by the cutter and before printing is started by the print head, the processor controls the drive such that the first conveyor transports the medium in an ejection direction to a position where the medium is sandwiched by the second conveyor.
PRINTING AND CUTTING
A method includes obtaining a nominal distance between a printhead and an X cut line position in a printer; obtaining a predetermined slice length of an image to be printed; determining an adjusted slice length as a function of the nominal distance and an offset; advancing a print medium through a print zone of the printer in accordance with the predetermined slice length or the adjusted slice length, and printing an image slice after a print medium advance; repeating the advancing and printing a number N of times; and after the Nth print medium advance, printing an image slice and cutting the print medium at the X cut line position.
PRINTING APPARATUS
A processor prints medium information on a medium using a printing head in response to reception of a replacement instruction for the medium, causes a printing apparatus to cut the medium in a state in which a downstream end of the medium information is located further on the upstream than a downstream roller, and, thereafter, enables the medium to be detached.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes an image processing unit and generates a product by performing printing on a print medium conveyed in a conveyance direction intersecting a width direction, based on data for printing, and then cutting a width-direction end portion of a printed image, wherein the image processing unit calculates a first ink application amount of a first area formed at one end portion in the width direction on a leading edge side of the image which is located on a downstream side in the conveyance direction during printing and a second ink application amount of a second area formed at the other end in the width direction on the leading edge and enlarges the image data at a predetermined ratio to obtain the data for printing in a case where at least one of the first ink application amount and the second ink application amount exceeds a threshold value.
