Printer
A printer having multiple printing mechanisms has a printing device configured to execute a printing process to repetitively print a character defined for a page with one of the multiple printing mechanisms, and a controller. The controller is configured to determine, while the printing device is executing a first printing process which is the printing process for one page with use of the first printing mechanism, whether a first instruction to suspend the first printing process is received, print a page which is being printed when the first instruction is received to an end, and suspend the first printing process thereafter when the first instruction is received, determine whether a second instruction to start a second printing process with use of a second printing mechanism is received after the first printing process is suspended, and execute the second printing process when the second instruction is received.
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING ADHESIVE LABELS
This disclosure relates to a device for producing adhesive labels, in particular in a self-service area, for example of a drug store. The device comprises a printer for printing a printing pattern based on user inputs onto an adhesive film, a cutting apparatus for cutting the adhesive film along a specified cutting pattern which can be selected by a user, and a transferring apparatus for automatically transferring the printed adhesive film from the printer to the cutting apparatus, wherein the transferring apparatus comprises a first moving unit for automatically moving the printed adhesive film in a forward direction from the printer to the cutting apparatus. A control apparatus controls the automatic transfer of the printed adhesive film from the printer to the cutting apparatus.
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING CUT OBJECTS
The disclosure relates to a device for producing cut objects. A dye-sublimation thermal printer prints a printing pattern onto a printing substrate and outputs the latter. A cutting apparatus cuts the printing substrate along a cutting pattern, wherein the cutting apparatus comprises a cutting unit and a moving unit for moving the printing substrate during cutting. The dye-sublimation thermal printer is adapted to print the printing substrate in such a way that the outputted printing substrate has a printed area in which printing has occurred and a non-printed area in which printing has not occurred, wherein the printed area and the non-printed area are successively arranged and the dimension of the non-printed area in the arrangement direction is at least equal to a distance between the cutting unit and the first moving unit.
RECORDING DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR RECORDING DEVICE
A printer includes a transport unit, a recording unit, a cutter unit, and a control unit. The transport unit is capable of transporting two pieces of roll paper in parallel. The cutter unit is movable in a width direction intersecting a transport direction, and is capable of cutting the two pieces of roll paper. The cutter unit is capable of cutting roll paper PR in both a forward path and a return path of the movement in a width direction. The control unit is capable of setting a standby position of the cutter unit to a position between the two pieces of roll paper.
Printer configured to rotate discharge roller when determining that second print control subsequent to first print control can be performed
A printer includes: a printing head configured to perform printing on a medium; a conveyor configured to convey the medium in a conveying direction; a cutter configured to cut the medium to provide a segmented medium; a discharge roller; a counter roller configured to nip the medium in cooperation with the discharge roller; a driver configured to rotate the discharge roller in a discharging direction; and a controller configured to perform: (a) controlling the printing head and the conveyor to perform the first print control based on a first print instruction to perform printing on the medium; (b) driving the driver to stop rotation of the discharge roller with the medium nipped between the discharge roller and the counter roller; and (c) driving, when a second print control subsequent to the first print control is allowed, the driver to rotate the discharge roller in the discharging direction.
