Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes a control unit that acquires information regarding shapes and sizes of a recording material and a transport material to which the recording material is to be bonded. The control unit is configured to operate in a first recording mode in which a positioning pattern is recorded on the transport material, the positioning pattern being used to position the recording material on the transport material, and also configured to operate in a second recording mode in which the data is recorded on the recording material positioned on the transport material during transport of the transport material.
Printing apparatus for bending a sheet to form a loop
A printing apparatus, comprising a storage unit for storing a sheet, a printing unit for printing on the sheet conveyed by a first conveyance unit from the storage unit, a second conveyance unit, provided between the first conveyance unit and the storage unit, for conveying the sheet from the storage unit toward the first conveyance unit, a conveyance control unit for controlling driving of the first and the second convey units such that the sheet is bent between the first conveyance unit and the second conveyance unit, and a detection unit, provided between the first and the second conveyance units, for detecting bending of the sheet, wherein the conveyance control unit stops conveyance of the sheet by the first conveyance unit based on a detection result of the detection unit.
Reconfigurable support pads for fabric image transfers
The techniques described herein relate generally to reconfigurable support pads for fabric image transfers. Specifically, according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, reconfigurable support pads are provided for fabric image transfers (e.g., silk screening, heat transfer, direct-to-garment printing, etc.). In particular, the techniques herein provide for various adjustable configurations of portions of the fabric substrate support, which may be changed for different thicknesses of garments, and more particularly, that allow for varied thicknesses found on the same garment. For example, by configuring the support in a first “flat” configuration, a plain tee shirt may lay flat, and then configuring the support in a second “two-tiered” configuration, with one portion lower (or higher) than the other, allows for a hoodie with a thicker pocket portion at the “belly” of the garment to also lay flat. Other configurations are also available, whether manually adjusted or else dynamically controlled (e.g., using actuators) based on the type of garment selected on an associated control system.
CONVEYANCE APPARATUS
A conveyance apparatus includes a bearing rotator, an entrance rotator, an exit rotator, a first driver circuit, a downstream conveyor, a second driver circuit, and a recording medium detector. The entrance rotator receives a recording medium at a first position. The downstream conveyor receives the medium at a second position. As a process of removing the medium, the first driver circuit starts rotation operation after the second driver circuit starts driving the downstream conveyor and rotates the rotators for not less than a period of time for the medium to be conveyed from the first position to the second position. The second driver circuit continues driving the downstream conveyor for not less than a period of time for the medium to be conveyed from the second position to a position at which the medium is detected after the rotation operation of the first driver circuit is stopped.
Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes a rotary shaft configured to rotate while holding a roll body of a printing medium, a first motor configured to rotate the rotary shaft, a roller pair configured to transport the printing medium downstream by rotating in a state of pinching the printing medium, a second motor configured to rotate the roller pair, a first sensor configured to detect a tip end or a feature of the printing medium, a second sensor configured to detect the tip end or feature of the printing medium, and an outer diameter calculating unit configured to calculate an outer diameter of the roll body based on detection by the first sensor and detection by the second sensor, wherein the outer diameter calculating unit calculates an outer diameter of the roll body before the tip end of the printing medium is pinched by the roller pair.
Thermal printer
A thermal printer includes a conveyance unit, a thermal head with heating elements arranged in a line crossing a conveyance direction of a thermal paper, and a controller that generates print dot data for dots to be printed by the thermal head and controls the conveyance unit and thermal head according to the print dot data. The controller determines whether the total number of dots to be printed in a predetermined number of consecutive lines of the print dot data is greater than a threshold number and, when the total number of dots is greater than the threshold number, control the conveyance unit to convey the thermal paper after the printing of the print dot data by a predetermined amount along the conveyance direction.
Recording device and method for controlling recording device
A recording device includes a recording head, a transport roller set, and a controller that controls a driving source that drives a transport driving roller. The controller judges whether a rear end that is an upstream end of a medium in a transport direction crosses a kicking region set in a range present downstream of a nipping position of the transport roller set in a transport direction. When the controller judges that the rear end does not cross the kicking region, the controller adjusts a feeding amount for at least one of a plurality of transport operations to be performed until the rear end reaches the kicking region in such a manner that the rear end of the medium crosses the kicking region.
Print apparatus, method for controlling the same, and storage medium
A print apparatus includes a print unit configured to perform printing on a print medium, a transport belt on which the print medium is mounted, a driving section configured to move the belt in a predetermined belt movement direction so as to transport the print medium, a detection section configured to detect marks for detection of a movement amount formed on side ends of the transport belt, and a driving controller configured to control the driving section based on a result of the detection performed by the detection section. The driving controller obtains an error of movement amounts of the transport belt based on the result of the detection performed by the detection section and performs control such that the obtained error is corrected.
Food product printer
A printer and corresponding method of printing an image on a surface of a plurality of food products by providing a system having a printer with an extendable and retractable receiving arm and a rotating food product delivery tray for continuously and automatically providing delivery of unprinted food products which are retracted into the printer, printed on, and returned by the receiving arm to the rotatable delivery tray and the tray further moves to deliver subsequent food products for printing.
PRINTING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus includes a conveyance unit including a pair of rotation members that nip a roll sheet, and configured to convey the sheet by rotation of the pair of rotation members, a printing unit, and a control unit configured to, upon executing a new print job, cause the conveyance unit to perform a preparatory operation in which the sheet is conveyed in a forward direction and then conveyed in a reverse direction and stopped. If a predetermined condition is met after completion of a previous print job, the control unit causes the conveyance unit to perform the preparatory operation, and if the predetermined condition is not met after completion of a previous print job, the control unit does not cause the conveyance unit to perform the preparatory operation.
