A printing system for printing images onto a medium supplied as feed-stock, said system comprising a printer, a control computer and data inputting means, a printer head, a cutter, at least one rewinder and a taper; the print head for printing individual work-pieces onto the medium; the cutter for cutting the medium into individual work-pieces, and the at least one rewinder for rewinding the work-pieces into coreless-rolls, and the taper comprising a tape dispenser and printer for printing identifying data onto a piece of tape applied to fasten each coreless roll closed wherein the cutter and the printing of the tape is controlled by the control computer, wherein the cutter is configured to section the work-piece from the feedstock after it has started to be fed into the rewinder.

A printer extension kit that modifies a printer to receive and output longer pieces of paper. In a printing apparatus, a control unit stops paper feeding driven by a first driving unit for driving a paper feeding roller in response to a timing at which a printing medium reaches a conveying roller, if the printing medium has a first size, and stops paper feeding driven by the first driving unit before a detection unit located upstream of the conveying roller detects the printing medium if the printing medium has a second size smaller than the first size.

The transport system (100) further comprises at least one support conveyor (190) movable along the transport direction for supporting a region of the individual sheet, wherein the support conveyor (190) comprises a vacuum system for supporting the individual sheet on an interacting surface of the support conveyor, the vacuum system comprising a plurality of orifices in the interacting surface. The machine allows for efficient and flexible handling of individual sheets, in particular large format sheets of materials such as corrugated cardboard or other materials that have a certain degree of inherent stability.

A recording apparatus includes a plurality of medium containing units that is provided along a vertical direction and contains a medium before recording, a liquid ejecting head that performs recording by ejecting liquid toward the medium, and at least one liquid containing unit that contains the liquid. An image forming apparatus includes a sheet supporting portion, a regulating portion, a feeding portion, an image forming unit, a sheet detection unit, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to execute, in a state where an image forming job in which an image is formed by the image forming unit is interrupted, a drive processing of the feeding portion such that (a) the feeding portion is driven at a first timing if the regulating portion is not set to a moved state within a predetermined period of time from when the sheet detection unit has detected the sheet, and (b) the feed portion is driven at a second timing later than the first timing if the regulating portion is set to the moved state within the predetermined period of time from when the sheet detection unit has detected the sheet.

There is provided a recording apparatus including a liquid jetting unit, a container unit, a receiving unit, a conveyance unit and a controller. The controller is configured to carry out: determining whether or not it is necessary to stop and dry the liquid jetted recording medium in the conveyance path and controlling the conveyance unit to stop the recording medium in the conveyance path under a condition that the controller determines that it is necessary to dry the recording medium.
