MEDIA SUPPORT
In one example, a media support includes a platen and multiple suctions cups embedded in or an integral part of the platen. Some of the suction cups are arranged in a first part having a first density and some of the suction cups arrange in a second part having a second density less than the first density.
Media support
In one example, a media support includes a platen and multiple suction cups in the platen. Each suction cup in the platen has a port through which air may be evacuated from the cup.
MEDIA SUPPORT
In one example, a media support includes a sheet of elongated suction cups. In another example, a media support includes an arrangement of elongated and/or circular suction cups in which the density of the suction cups varies between different parts of the support.
MEDIA LOADING
According to an example, a media advance mechanism may comprise a movable assembly, a fixed assembly operatively coupled to the movable assembly, and an actuator to rotate the movable assembly with respect to the fixed assembly. The movable assembly may comprise a lateral guide extending along a length of the media path and a conveyor belt oriented towards the lateral guide, wherein the conveyor belt is to move a medium towards the lateral guide.
INK-JET RECORDING APPARATUS
An ink-jet recording apparatus includes: a recording head including first and second nozzles and first and second driving elements corresponding to the first and second nozzles respectively; a controller; and a head driving circuit connected to the controller by first and second signal lines and a third signal line for transmitting a clock signal, the head driving circuit connected electrically to the first and second driving elements. Each of the first and second driving elements is driven to jet an ink droplet from one of the first and second nozzles corresponding thereto when driving voltage is applied from the head driving circuit. The controller executes relative movement processing for the recording head and a sheet in parallel with recording processing in which pattern signals of the driving voltage are outputted serially to the first signal line and a jetting instruction signal is outputted serially to the second signal line.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus capable of performing printing on a plurality of kinds of sheets, comprising a print unit configured to perform printing on a sheet, a feed unit configured to feed a sheet toward the print unit, and a control unit configured to, in a case of successively performing printing on a plurality of sheets by the print unit, control the feed unit to perform overlapped feeding in which a succeeding sheet is fed such that a trailing end portion of a preceding sheet and a leading end portion of the succeeding sheet overlap, wherein, in a case of executing the overlapped feeding, the control unit makes a predetermined notification based on a comparison result of a length of the succeeding sheet with a threshold value corresponding to a sheet kind of the succeeding sheet.
Substrate loader for simultaneously loading multiple substrates on a transport belt
A method for efficiently multiple loading substrates simultaneously onto an endless transport belt of a printer, including steps of engaging each substrate by an array of grippers, each gripper being rotatably mounted on a support beam; pivoting and/or rotating the support beam with the grippers gripping the substrates, so that the substrates are positioned on the transport belt over at least one suction chamber; driving the transport belt to move the substrates, while a negative pressure is applied to the substrates via the at least one suction chamber, so that trailing portions of each of the substrates are pulled onto the belt.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes a plurality of medium containing units that is provided along a vertical direction and contains a medium before recording, a liquid ejecting head that performs recording by ejecting liquid toward the medium, and at least one liquid containing unit that contains the liquid. The plurality of medium containing units includes a first medium containing unit located at an uppermost position, and a second medium containing unit located below the first medium containing unit. A size of the first medium containing unit in a medium feeding-out direction, in which the medium is fed out, is smaller than a size of the second medium containing unit in the medium feeding-out direction, and the at least one liquid containing unit is provided above the second medium containing unit in such a way as to overlap with the first medium containing unit in a vertical direction.
