Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes: an apparatus main body that includes a recording unit; a medium-receiving tray that is configured to be switched between a first state and a second state; and a motor, in which the medium-receiving tray includes a first tray, a second tray that is configured to be displaced with respect to the first tray and that is positioned further than the first tray from the apparatus main body when the medium-receiving tray is in the second state, a pinion gear engaged with a first rack formed in the first tray in a displacement direction of the second tray and with a second rack formed in the second tray in the displacement direction, and a displacement section that supports the pinion gear and that is displaced in the displacement direction in response to receiving power from the motor.
Sheet processing apparatus and image forming system
In order to enable a sheet to be properly guided to a nip portion in performing folding processing, a sheet processing apparatus for performing folding processing on a sheet is provided with a rotating body pair which nips the sheet by a nip portion to rotate, and thereby draws the sheet to perform folding processing, a folding blade that pushes the sheet to the nip portion of the rotating body pair, and a blade guide member including a guide portion for pushing the sheet to the nip portion when the folding blade pushes the sheet to the nip portion, where the folding blade and blade guide member are relatively shifted so that a distance from a push front edge portion to the guide portion when the folding blade pushes the sheet to the nip portion is longer than a distance from the front edge portion to the guide portion.
Printer, method of operating printer, and substrate handling mechanism
A printer includes a substrate support, a printhead assembly, first and second actuators, and a controller. The printhead assembly deposits material on a substrate supported on the substrate support. The first actuator is disposed at a side of the substrate support and coupled to a first linear track disposed along the side of the substrate support and oriented in a first direction. The second actuator is disposed at an end of the substrate support and coupled to a second linear track disposed along the end of the substrate support and oriented in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The first and second actuators are positioned to engage with the substrate simultaneously. The controller moves the first and second actuators together to rotate the substrate.

Post-processing device and printing system
A post-processing device includes a transport path along which a medium printed with liquid ejected by a liquid ejecting portion is transported, an intermediate tray on which the medium is stacked, a first transporting member starting a first transporting operation of transporting the medium upstream in a transport direction after a rear end of the medium passes through the transport path, a rear-end alignment portion that comes into contact with the rear end of the medium transported by the first transporting member and that aligns the medium, a control portion controlling an operation of the first transporting member, and a detection portion detecting a transporting state of the medium in the intermediate tray, in which when the control portion determines, from an output of the detection portion, that the medium reaches the rear-end alignment portion, the control portion regulates the first transporting operation of the first transporting member.
RECORDING DEVICE
A recording device has: a recording head configured to perform recording on a medium; a medium storage below the recording head configured to store the medium to be recoded; a supply path comprising a first curved supply path curved so as to be convex upward and transporting the medium fed out of the medium storage in a reversed direction via the first curved supply path; and a reversing path comprising a second curved path curved so as to be convex downward and transporting the recorded medium into a direction including a vertically upward component via second curved path from a direction including a vertically downward component; wherein the supply path joins the reversing path, and the first curved path and the second curved path overlap when viewed horizontally.
Image recording apparatus
An image recording apparatus for recording an image on a sheet includes a recording section which records the image on the sheet in a transport passage for transporting the sheet in a transport direction and multiple plates which are spaced apart from each other in a widthwise direction. These multiple plates include a first type of plate and a second type of plate. Plates of a first type of plate are configured to overlap a sheet when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the transport direction and the widthwise direction, while plates of the second type of plate do not.

Retracting device, accommodating device, and image forming apparatus
A retracting device includes a housing that is disposed in or on an accommodating unit to be pulled out from an apparatus including a protrusion and that has a groove extending from a first position to a second position and having an opening formed at the first position, the first position corresponding to a position of the protrusion when the accommodating unit moving in a direction in which the accommodating unit is accommodated into the apparatus reaches a predetermined position and the second position corresponding to a position of the protrusion when the accommodating unit is accommodated in the apparatus, and a movable unit that is disposed in the housing and that moves, when the accommodating unit reaches the predetermined position and the protrusion enters the opening, while holding the protrusion to cause the protrusion to move along the groove and with respect to the housing toward the second position.
Printing apparatus and tray unit
A printing apparatus includes a tray on which a sheet is to be stacked, a container configured to store the tray such that the tray can be pulled out, a first guide unit configured to guide a slide of the tray in a pull-out direction, a second guide unit spaced apart from the first guide unit in a widthwise direction, a first regulating portion provided in the container and configured to regulate, by abutting against the tray, a tilt of the tray to one direction in the widthwise direction; and a second regulating portion provided in the container and configured to regulate, by abutting against the tray, a tilt of the tray to the other direction in the widthwise direction.
