An image forming apparatus includes an image former that forms a plurality of adjustment images on a sheet. The plurality of adjustment images are used for adjusting a forming position of a printing image to be formed on the sheet. The plurality of adjustment images are formed at positions that are asymmetrical with respect to the center of the sheet or the center of the printing image.

METHOD FOR PRINTING AN IMAGE ON A SUBSTRATE ON A SUPPORT BODY
A method is provided for printing an image on a substrate on a support body of a printing apparatus, the method including the steps of: providing a masking sheet on the support body; deriving from the image a boundary outline of the image; selecting a location on the support body for printing the image; printing the boundary outline of the image on the masking sheet at the selected location of the support body; printing at least one distance marker on at least one side of the printed boundary outline on the masking sheet, said distance marker indicating a distance from the boundary outline; placing the substrate on the masking sheet at the selected location of the support body using the boundary outline; determining an offset of the substrate relative to the printed boundary outline by way of the printed distance marker, after the substrate placing step; and printing the image on the substrate based on the determined offset of the substrate relative to the printed boundary outline.
Intermediate unit, post processing device, and printing apparatus
An intermediate unit includes a transportation path along which a medium, on which printing has been performed by a printing unit that performs printing on the medium by using liquid, is transported to a post processing unit that performs post processing on the medium. The transportation path is provided with a drying unit that accelerates the drying of the medium. The drying unit is driven according to the printing data.

A correction driving roller of a printing apparatus, which is used for transporting a paper sheet, includes at least one toothed roller that includes a plurality of wheels configured to be brought into contact with the paper sheet when the paper sheet is transported, and holders that hold the wheels, and is constructed such that the plurality of wheels are fixed to the holders while being arrayed in an axial direction orthogonal to the side surfaces of the wheels. Cut portions are formed on the wheel and are spaced away from each other when the toothed roller is viewed in the axial direction.

A correction driving roller of a printing apparatus, which is used for transporting a paper sheet, includes at least one toothed roller that includes a plurality of wheels configured to be brought into contact with the paper sheet when the paper sheet is transported, and holders that hold the wheels, and is constructed such that the plurality of wheels are fixed to the holders while being arrayed in an axial direction orthogonal to the side surfaces of the wheels. MEDIA EDGE LIFTING
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a media lifting device is described. The media lifting device includes a media lifting strip to sit on a media transport belt of a printing system. The media lifting strip is to raise a lateral edge of incoming media. That lateral edge of incoming media is a portion of the incoming media that is parallel to a media travel direction. The media lifting device also includes a clamp to affix the media lifting strip to the printing system.
