According to one example there is provided an accessory for a printing system. The accessory comprises a cylindrical core on which a web of media may be wound, and a flexible sheet having a first end attached to the core and a second free end opposite the first end having a media connector attached thereto, the media connector to connect a free end of a web of media thereto.

A housing case includes a tape roll housing section configured to house a tape roll of a wound tape to be fed to a tape printing device, a tape discharge side removal portion removably provided in a first wall section, the tape discharge side removal portion to be removed to form a tape discharge in the first wall section through which the tape fed from the tape roll is fed, and a cartridge housing section configured to house a ribbon cartridge having an ink ribbon, the ribbon cartridge to be mounted into the tape printing device and being configured to hold the tape fed from the tape roll.

A housing case includes a tape roll housing section configured to house a tape roll of a wound tape to be fed to a tape printing device, a tape discharge side removal portion removably provided in a first wall section, the tape discharge side removal portion to be removed to form a tape discharge in the first wall section through which the tape fed from the tape roll is fed, and a cartridge housing section configured to house a ribbon cartridge having an ink ribbon, the ribbon cartridge to be mounted into the tape printing device and being configured to hold the tape fed from the tape roll.

A medium feeding apparatus includes a feeding roller which feeds a printing medium, a roll holding portion which holds a roll body around which the printing medium is wound, an intermediate roller which pulls out the printing medium from the roll body and feeds the printing medium to the feeding roller, and a controller which synchronizes and controls driving of the feeding roller and the intermediate roller, in which the controller sets a target value in a driving control of the intermediate roller to be greater than a target value in a driving control of the feeding roller, so that tension is not applied to the printing medium between the feeding roller and the intermediate roller, when the feeding roller and the intermediate roller feed the printing medium.

A medium holder according to the invention includes a medium roll being a wound medium, and a medium holder unit that is mounted onto an end portion of the medium roll in an axial direction. The medium holder unit includes a movement mechanism having a rotating body that moves the medium roll.

A printing apparatus includes a feed shaft configured to feed a medium in a roll form by supporting and rotating the medium, a conveyance unit including a driving roller, a driven roller and an endless conveyance belt and configured to convey, in a conveyance direction, the medium supported by the conveyance belt by rotating the driving roller forward, a printing head configured to perform printing on the medium supported by the conveyance belt, and an ear portion winding shaft configured to wind up ear portions of the medium separated from the medium supported by the feed shaft.

A printing apparatus includes a feed shaft configured to feed a medium in a roll form by supporting and rotating the medium, a conveyance unit including a driving roller, a driven roller and an endless conveyance belt and configured to convey, in a conveyance direction, the medium supported by the conveyance belt by rotating the driving roller forward, a printing head configured to perform printing on the medium supported by the conveyance belt, and an ear portion winding shaft configured to wind up ear portions of the medium separated from the medium supported by the feed shaft.

A media processing apparatus includes: a base defining (i) a chamber configured to receive a media supply, and (ii) a lower portion of a media outlet; a ribbon positioning assembly coupled to the base, the ribbon positioning assembly configured to support a print head at an upper portion of the media outlet; an input assembly affixed to the ribbon positioning assembly, the input assembly including an input device activatable to generate a signal to a controller of the media processing apparatus; a lid coupled to the base, and movable relative to the base between (i) a closed position to enclose the chamber and the ribbon positioning assembly, and (ii) an open position to expose the chamber for access from an exterior of the media processing apparatus; the lid including an opening configured to align with the input device when the lid is in the closed position.
