Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus can convey a recording sheet such as a long sheet with high precision without decreasing productivity even if a back tension occurs during conveyance of the recording sheet. The recording apparatus sets a first acceleration period in which the conveying speed is increased up to a first predetermined speed before a leading end of the roll paper reaches a detecting position of the leading end detecting sensor with the roll paper being nipped by the upstream side nip roller and the conveying belt. Further, the recording apparatus sets a first constant speed period in which the conveying speed is kept constant at the first predetermined speed before the leading end of the roll paper reaches the detecting position until the leading end of the roll paper is nipped by the downstream side nip roller and the conveying belt. Furthermore, the recording apparatus sets a second acceleration period in which the conveying speed is increased up to a second predetermined speed before the recording by the recording head is started after the leading end of the roll paper is nipped by the downstream side nip roller and the conveying belt.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus can convey a recording sheet such as a long sheet with high precision without decreasing productivity even if a back tension occurs during conveyance of the recording sheet. A medium wind-up device is provided to suppress causing a wrinkle at a time of winding a medium, and also suppress a fluctuation of a winding position. The medium wind-up device includes: a tension roller that presses a medium, which is belt-shaped and transferred in a transfer direction that is predetermined, in order to provide the medium with a tension; a reversing roller that reverses the medium pressed by the tension roller, and the reversing roller being rotatable so as to follow a move of the medium; a loading mechanism that is capable of placing a load against a rotation of the reversing roller; and a wind-up portion that winds up the medium reversed by the reversing roller.
Medium wind-up device, printing machine, and medium wind-up method

A printer includes a paper roll holder having a shaft, a paper roll storage section, and a print unit. The paper roll storage section has a first support configured to rotatably support the shaft of the paper roll holder when the paper roll holder is inserted into a shaft core of a paper roll, and a second support configured to rotatably support the shaft of the paper roll holder when the paper roll holder is not inserted into the shaft core of the paper roll and at a position where the paper roll holder abuts an outer circumference of the paper roll when the shaft of the paper roll holder is rotatably supported by the second support. The print unit is configured to form an image on paper to be supplied from the paper roll.
