INKJET PRINTER
An inkjet printer comprising: a carriage that carries an inkjet head and configured to scan a recording medium; a main circuit board with a controller that controls the carriage; a strap including a first cable that connects to a first circuit board disposed on the carriage and to the main circuit board, a second cable that connects to a second circuit board disposed on the carriage and to the main circuit board, and a clamp configured to bundle the first cable and the second cable; a support member configured to support the strap from vertically below; and an ink tube configured to connect to the inkjet head and to an ink tank located outside of the carriage; the ink tube disposed between the strap and the support member.
Printing apparatus and head maintenance method in printing apparatus
In the invention, pipes and the like are guided in parallel to a second horizontal direction according to collective movements of printing bar units while being stored and protected by a protecting/guiding member arranged outside and adjacent to a body frame. In this way, breakage of the pipes and the like during the collective movements of printing bar units is reliably prevented. Moreover, the pipes and the like stored in the protecting/guiding member move outside the body frame and are not present inside the body frame. As a result, a work space can be secured without being limited by the collective movements of the printing bar units to the maintenance space.
PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes: a head unit including an insertion port into which a flat cable is to be inserted; and a guiding portion configured to guide the flat cable when the flat cable is inserted into the insertion port. The guiding portion includes at least two guide members opposed to each other. The guide members opposed to each other each include a parallel surface to an insertion direction of the flat cable into the insertion port, and are disposed with the parallel surfaces opposed to each other. The distance between the parallel surfaces of the guide members that are opposed to each other matches a width in a longitudinal direction of the insertion port.
Print head shuttling motion with improved precision
A printing system has a print head shuttle containing a print head mounted on a print guide rail, a support shuttle containing support electronics for the print head mounted on a support guide rail adjacent and parallel to the print guide rail, and at least one electronic signal-carrying cable connected between the support electronics and the print head.
RECORDING DEVICE
A recording device includes a carriage that is movable in a first and a second direction, a cable, a tube, a cable clamp member that extends from the carriage in a first direction and passes a turned curved portion to extend from the turned curved portion in a second direction, a spring member provided along the cable clamp member, and a clamp member supporting portion extending along the first and the second direction. The spring member is configured to generate spring force in a direction in which hanging down of the cable clamp member at a path portion extending from the carriage to the turned curved portion is suppressed, and the spring member is partially in contact with the clamp member supporting portion at a path portion extending in the second direction from the turned curved portion, in an intersecting direction intersecting the first and the second direction.
Printer having conduit grip and method of gripping conduit
A printer, comprising a moveable carriage having at least one print head mounted thereon; and at least one flexible conduit connected at a first end to the carriage. An intermediate portion of the conduit is supported in a guide allowing the conduit to follow reciprocating movement of the carriage across a print zone of the printer. A retainer is moveable between first and second positions. In the first position the retainer permits the conduit to follow the movement of the carriage. In the second position the retainer is arranged to grip the conduit at a location between the intermediate portion and the first end.
GROUNDING FOR MEDIA
Some examples include a grounding system for an image forming apparatus. The grounding system includes a lifting plate having a top surface for storing media and an interface, a cable having a first end and an opposing second end, the first end attached at the interface, a retainer attached to the lifting plate at the interface, the retainer releasably securing the cable to the lifting plate, and a winding spool coupled to the second end of the cable, the winding spool to transfer torque to the cable and to accommodate a length of cable wound around the winding spool. Each of the lifting plate, the cable, and the winding spool are electrically conductive to release electrostatic energy from the media.
Large format printer
A large format printer performs serial printing on a medium which is greater than or equal to A3 short side width. The large format printer includes a print head which performs printing in accordance with variations in a drive voltage signal which is applied to a drive element, a control circuit which generates a drive signal (an example of the drive voltage signal), and a cable which is greater than or equal to 1 m and transmits a power voltage signal (an example of a constant voltage signal) and the drive voltage for driving the print head from the control circuit to the print head. An overshooting prevention circuit which renders a voltage (a drive voltage) of the drive signal which is applied to the drive element less than or equal to a voltage (a power voltage) of the power voltage signal is disposed in the print head.
Assembly for moving a carriage
An assembly is provided for moving a carriage, the assembly comprising a carriage beam arranged for supporting the carriage, which is moveably arranged along the carriage beam, a cable carrier for supporting a cable, the cable carrier being attached to the carriage and comprising a plurality of carrier segments distributed along a length of the cable carrier, and a flexible support element arranged along the carriage beam for supporting the cable carrier along a track.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes a recording head, an ink supply section, a carriage, and a detection unit. The ink supply section supplies ink to the recording head. The carriage reciprocates in predetermined directions and is provided with the recording head and includes a passage junction to be connected to or disconnected from an ink passage formed between the ink supply section and the recording head. The detection unit converts a result of detecting a detection target into an electrical signal. One of the detection target and the detection unit is mounted in the carriage. The carriage has an ink guiding mechanism that guides the ink from a region positioned below the passage junction in a vertical direction to the detection target or an installation part for the detection unit.
