Printing apparatus and leakage detection method of the same
An embodiment of this invention is directed to a leakage detection of a printhead. The embodiment executes leakage detection as follows in a printing apparatus which uses a reciprocally movable printhead. That is, the embodiment monitors a voltage appearing on a second power line which supplies, to the printhead, a second voltage that is used for detecting the current leakage from the printhead and is lower than a first voltage to be supplied to perform printing by the printhead through a first power line to which a capacitor is parallel-connected. If a timing at which detection of the current leakage is executed is detected, the embodiment performs control so as to execute detection of the current leakage based on the monitored voltage, by turning off supply of the first voltage and turning on supply of the second voltage.

An image forming apparatus capable of shifting to a state where quick activation thereof can be performed in a shorter time period when a power switch is turned off. When the off operation of the power switch is detected, a first state is stored, and when the on operation of the power switch is detected next, the state of the image forming apparatus is shifted to a second state from which the image forming apparatus can return to the first state. When the state of the image forming apparatus is shifted to the second state, time starts to be measured. When the on operation of the power switch is detected in the second state, the value of the measured time is acquired. The image forming apparatus is caused to return to the stored first state depending on the value of the measured time.

The disclosure discloses a printer including a load circuit, a controller, a power receiving terminal, a first switching circuit, and a second switching circuit. The controller is configured to control voltage supply to the load circuit, and is connected to an input part. The power receiving terminal is configured to be connected to a power feeding terminal of an external power source device. The first switching circuit includes a first switch element configured to switch between conduction and interruption in accordance with a first control signal input from the controller, and is connected between the power receiving terminal and the input part. The second switching circuit includes a second switch element configured to switch between conduction and interruption in accordance with a second control signal input from the controller, and is connected between the battery storage part and the input part.
PRINTER
According to an embodiment, a printer includes a battery, a display, a memory and a processor. The memory stores a predetermined residual capacity of the battery of the printer and amount information of a printing medium on which a predetermined printing data can be printed with the predetermined residual capacity in association with each other in advance. The processor controls the display such that the amount information corresponding to the predetermined residual capacity stored in the memory is displayed on the display, in a case where determining that the residual capacity of the battery is reduced to less than the predetermined residual capacity.
