METHOD OF MAINTAINING PRINTHEADS USING WIPERS MOVING IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS
A method of wiping a plurality of printheads positioned in a staggered overlapping arrangement across a width of a media feed path, each printhead having a respective wiper associated therewith. The wipers for neighboring printheads are moved in opposite directions with respect to each other.
PRINT-HEAD MODULE
A print-head module for a single-pass inkjet printer contains a housing component with a transverse bracket which extends in the X-direction and on which a number of print heads are arranged which are adjusted positionally with respect to at least one reference position. A load-bearing frame with a supporting device is provided for supporting the load-bearing frame. The housing component is mounted on the load-bearing frame such that it swings about a pendulum axis. Furthermore, a single-pass inkjet printer has at least one print-head module of this type. The inkjet printer contains a frame construction with a support, on which the at least one print-head module is placed by use of the supporting device.
METHOD OF WIPING PRINTHEAD
A method of wiping an inkjet printhead. The method includes the steps of: lifting a print module carrier relative to a media feed path, the print module carrier having a mounting arm bridging over a wiper carriage parked at one longitudinal end of a printhead carried by the print module carrier; and moving the wiper carriage, from its parked position below the mounting arm, longitudinally along the printhead to wipe a surface of the printhead.
METHOD OF WIPING PRINTHEAD
A method of wiping an inkjet printhead. The method includes the steps of: lifting a print module carrier relative to a media feed path, the print module carrier having a mounting arm bridging over a wiper carriage parked at one longitudinal end of a printhead carried by the print module carrier; and moving the wiper carriage, from its parked position below the mounting arm, longitudinally along the printhead to wipe a surface of the printhead.
MOUNTING DEVICE
Examples of a mounting device and method are disclosed herein. An example of the mounting device includes a carriage to hold printhead assembly and an interconnect assembly to supply printing composition to the printhead assembly. The mounting device also includes a first latching assembly having an engaged condition to lock the interconnect assembly to a manifold of the printhead assembly and a disengaged condition to unlock the interconnect assembly from the manifold of the printhead assembly. The mounting device additionally includes a second latching assembly having an engaged condition to lock the printhead assembly to the carriage and a disengaged condition to unlock the printhead assembly from the carriage. In this example of the mounting device, the second latching assembly cannot be moved from the engaged condition to the disengaged condition unless the fast latching assembly is in the disengaged condition.
MOUNTING DEVICE
Examples of a mounting device and method are disclosed herein. An example of the mounting device includes a carriage to hold printhead assembly and an interconnect assembly to supply printing composition to the printhead assembly. The mounting device also includes a first latching assembly having an engaged condition to lock the interconnect assembly to a manifold of the printhead assembly and a disengaged condition to unlock the interconnect assembly from the manifold of the printhead assembly. The mounting device additionally includes a second latching assembly having an engaged condition to lock the printhead assembly to the carriage and a disengaged condition to unlock the printhead assembly from the carriage. In this example of the mounting device, the second latching assembly cannot be moved from the engaged condition to the disengaged condition unless the fast latching assembly is in the disengaged condition.
INKJET HEAD, INKJET HEAD MODULE, AND INKJET PRINTER
An inkjet head includes a head chip and an ink chamber. The head chip has a nozzle substrate provided with nozzles which discharge ink. The ink chamber is located over the head chip. In the ink chamber, the ink to be supplied to the nozzles is stored. The inkjet head is mounted on a mounting member. Between the nozzle substrate and the ink chamber, the inkjet head has a position reference substrate provided with butting parts. The butting parts are butted against the mounting member to position the inkjet head when the inkjet head is mounted on the mounting member.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus is provided with a carriage that includes a recording head for recording on a medium and that is movable in a predetermined direction. The carriage includes plural cartridges that are removable and contain liquids to be ejected from the recording head, and an operating portion that performs operation to release fixation of the ink cartridges to the carriage. The ink cartridges are provided in the carriage to be arranged in a direction crossing a moving direction of the carriage, and the operating portion is located outside the ink cartridges in the moving direction of the carriage.
PRINTING MODULE HAVING A PRINTING HEAD THAT CAN BE EXCHANGED ON THE FRONT SIDE
Printing module comprising an assembly arranged on the front side for mounting a printing head in an inkjet printer, wherein the printing module is arranged at a distance in relation to a depositing device and the assembly has a carrier frame having an opening which extends through the carrier frame and is provided for receiving/releasing the printing head, wherein the assembly has means for mounting the printing head which make it possible to receive the same on the front side in a repair position of the printing module in relation to the depositing device.
