SELECTIVELY SECURED LIQUID DISPENSER, MOUNT AND ASSOCIATED METHOD

A liquid dispenser includes of a bottle for housing the liquid, a pumping mechanism for discharging liquid from the bottle, and a boss that is connected to and extends from the bottom of the bottle. The boss on the bottle mates with a socket in a base to selectively secure the bottle to the base and a countertop or wall mounted support. The boss and socket are shaped so as to allow for a single orientation of the bottle. The combination of the boss on the bottle and the socket in the base provides a liquid soap dispensing apparatus having a counter-top mounting system that makes it possible to securely anchor the liquid dispensing device to a surface such as a counter-top and still allow easy removal for portability, so the dispenser can be transported and used in other areas. The apparatus also allows the soap reservoir to be easily refilled and utilizes readily available pump components.

THEFT DETERRENT DISPENSER AND MOUNTING ASSEMBLY

A dispenser bottle containing liquid may be mounted to a wall by a mounting assembly including a base and a carriage plate. A mounting bracket may be anchored to the wall and the carriage plate is coupled to the mounting bracket and is spring biased toward an extended configuration relative to the mounting bracket. A release pin maintains the carriage plate and base in a retracted configuration. A collar projects from an upper end of the mounting bracket to capture a neck of the bottle. A projection extends upwardly from the base and into a socket on the bottom of the bottle when seated on the base. The combination of the mating socket and projection at the base and the collar around the neck of the bottle inhibits removal of the bottle from the mounting assembly when in the retracted configuration. The bottle may be conveniently removed from the mounting system by depressing the release pin thereby freeing the carriage plate to slide upwardly relative to the mounting bracket into an extended configuration.

A bracket system for mounting a support rod, such as a closet rod, a shower curtain rod, a towel bar, or the like, between two support surfaces. The bracket system includes a bracket member and a cover member. The bracket member includes a base portion and a rod support member. The rod support member includes a support portion that supports the support rod and a spring portion that facilitates coupling of the bracket member to the cover member. The spring portion is compressed or deformed and then the cover member is slid over the spring portion. Upon release of the compression on the spring portion, the spring portion exerts an outward restoring force onto the cover member to couple the cover member to the bracket member. The support rod is supported by the support portion of the rod support member and extends through an opening in the cover member.
