A printer includes a head, a lamp, a first sensor, and a processor. The head is configured to eject photocurable ink onto the object to be printed. The lamp is configured to irradiate light onto the object to be printed. The first sensor is configured to detect a temperature inside the printer. The processor causes the first sensor to acquire the temperature inside the printer. The processor acquires, based on the print data, a duty ratio indicating a printing ratio when ejecting the ink onto an ejection region of the object to be printed. The processor increases a number of times of a flushing operation compared to a predetermined reference number of times, when the acquired duty ratio is a low duty ratio lower than a predetermined reference duty ratio, and the temperature detected by the first sensor is higher than a predetermined reference temperature.

Transport device including a cover having a frame engagement feature

In a transport device, a cover defining a portion of a transport path is pivotable between a closed state and an open state. The cover is movable while in the closed state between a first position and a second position lower than the first position. An urging member urges the cover from the second position toward the first position. The cover includes a main body for guiding the sheet in the transport direction and an engagement portion engaged with a frame when the cover is at the first position to restrict pivoting of the cover from the first position to a third position at which the cover is in the open state. The engagement portion is disengaged from the frame when the cover is at the second position to allow pivoting of the cover from the second position to the third position.

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a printing portion and a control portion. The printing portion executes a printing operation including ejecting a liquid from a nozzle onto a medium. The control portion executes an initial operation upon supply of power and executes the printing operation in accordance with a print instruction. The initial operation and the printing operation include a common printing operation that is common to the initial operation and the printing operation. When the control portion does not receive the print instruction during execution of the initial operation, the control portion executes the initial operation including the common printing operation. When the control portion receives the print instruction during execution of the initial operation, the control portion omits the common printing operation from the initial operation.
