PRINTER AND A METHOD OF DISPLAYING AN IMAGE AT THE USER INTERFACE OF THE PRINTER
In a sheet printer and a method for a sheet printer, the sheet printer includes a media support plane, a print controller, a print head and a user interface including a preview window including a representation of the media support plane. The print controller is configured to receive at least one digital image intended to be printed on a media piece, to receive position information of the position of the media piece on the media support plane, to display a representation of the media piece in a preview window, to determine a first part of the at least one digital image which fits on the media piece when printed and a second part of the at least one digital image which does not fit on the media piece and will not be printed, and to display a representation the first part as an at least partial overlay on the presentation of the media piece according to at least one first visual parameter. The print controller is further configured to display a representation of the second part in the preview window according to at least one second visual parameter, which deviates from the at least one first visual parameter.
Print device
A print device includes a head, a medium holding portion, an opening/closing cover, a feed path, a sensor, a window portion, and a blocking wall. The medium holding portion holds the medium and open to allow the medium to be taken out and put in. The opening/closing cover opens and closes an opening in the medium holding portion. The feed path extends from the medium holding portion toward the head and feeding the medium. The sensor is provided in the feed path. The window portion is provided in a position corresponding to between the sensor and the head, in a wall portion of the case, and allows the inside of the case to be seen from outside. The blocking wall is provided between the sensor and the window portion, and blocks a light coming in through the window portion toward the sensor.
Media cartridge and media processing device engagement mechanisms
A printer configured to contain a media cartridge, wherein the media cartridge includes: a base defining a media chamber and including a lower wall and an opposing upper wall; an identification circuit disposed on the lower wall, the identification circuit configured to engage with an electronic interface of a printer; a ledge on the upper wall of the base, the ledge configured to receive downward pressure from an inner surface of a lid of the printer in a closed position; wherein the identification circuit is aligned with the ledge to receive at least a portion of the downward pressure.
