PRINTING APPARATUS, STAND AND MOVEMENT CONTROL METHOD
A printing apparatus includes a body, a print head, a mover, a stand and a sensor. The body has an opening that faces a printing target during printing. The print head is provided in the body and performs the printing on the printing target. The mover is provided in the body and moves the print head to a first position and a second position. The first position corresponds to the opening, and the second position is different from the first position. The stand is detachable from the body. The sensor at least senses that a distance between the body and the stand is equal to or shorter than a predetermined distance. The mover moves the print head from the second position to the first position in response to the sensor sensing that the distance between the body and the stand is equal to or shorter than the predetermined distance.
PRINTING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus includes at least one processor, an apparatus main body that is capable of holding a tank that stores liquid; and a sensor that detects at least a state of motion of the tank. The processor outputs dispersion information showing an operation to move the apparatus main body to disperse the liquid in the tank based on the state of the motion of the tank detected by the sensor.

PRINTING APPARATUS, PRINTING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A technique capable of obtaining the displacement amount of the ejection position of a reaction liquid without changing a test pattern according to the configuration of the ejection head is to be provided. A test pattern including a detection pattern, which extends in a predetermined direction and in which, if divided into two, at least two inks and the reaction liquid are ejected to one area and only the at least two inks or the at least two inks and the reaction liquid of an amount that is smaller than that of the reaction liquid ejected to the one area are ejected to the other area, is printed, and the optical characteristics of the printed detection pattern are obtained. Further, based on the obtained optical characteristics of the detection pattern, the displacement amount of the ejection position of the reaction liquid in the predetermined direction is obtained.
RECORDING APPARATUS AND RECORDING METHOD
A recording apparatus includes an ink tank, a carriage, a recording head mounted on the carriage, a carriage control unit, and a supply tube connected to the recording head and the ink tank and including a bent portion that moves with carriage movement. The carriage control unit moves the carriage in predetermined directions to record on a recording medium. Assuming that, of an acceleration/deceleration area of a carriage moving area, an area in which pressure changes to decrease negative pressure in the recording head is a first area, and an area in which the pressure changes to increase the negative pressure in the recording head is a second area, the carriage control unit moves the carriage so that an absolute value of acceleration or deceleration of the carriage in the first area is less than an absolute value of acceleration or deceleration of the carriage in the second area.
INKJET PRINTER
A printer includes an ink head including a nozzle, a damper connected with the ink head, a pressure sensor to detect a damper pressure in the damper, a cap attachable to the ink head so as to cover the nozzle, an upward/downward moving mechanism to move the cap upward and downward with respect to the ink head, a suction pump connected with the cap, and a controller. The controller is configured or programmed to include a suction controller to execute a suction process to drive the suction pump in a state where the cap is attached to the ink head, a pressure acquisition controller to acquire the damper pressure from the pressure sensor during the suction process, and an upward/downward movement controller to control the cap to move upward toward the ink head when a change amount of the damper pressure is no larger than a reference change amount.
Printing consumable, ink cartridge, and ink cartridge reforming method
A printing consumable, an ink cartridge, and an ink cartridge reforming method are provided in the present disclosure. A printing consumable includes a first nozzle circuit, configured to feed back a first signal in response to a detection signal transmitted by a printer; and includes a second nozzle circuit, configured to not respond to the detection signal transmitted by the printer or configured to feed back a second signal different from the first signal in response to the detection signal, where the first nozzle circuit includes a nozzle circuit that has not been reformed and the second nozzle circuit includes a nozzle circuit that has been reformed. The second nozzle circuit includes a first circuit and a second circuit which includes a first conversion circuit and/or a second conversion circuit.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
A printing apparatus includes a tank configured to contain liquid to be supplied to a print head performing a printing operation by ejecting the liquid, a flow channel configured to supply the liquid from the tank to the print head, a power supply unit configured to receive electric power and supply the electric power to the printing apparatus, and a closing mechanism configured to close the flow channel in response to stoppage of electric power supply to the power supply unit.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME
A printing apparatus configured to be capable of attachment/detachment of a first consumable usable in an uncontracted state in which a predetermined contract has not been signed, and a second consumable different from the first consumable, comprising a printing unit for printing with the first or the second consumable, and a printing control unit for driving control of the printing unit, wherein, when the second consumable is attached, the printing control unit performs driving control of the printing unit using the second consumable if the printing apparatus is in a contracted state, and decides, based on information at the time of attachment of the second consumable, whether to perform the driving control of the printing unit using the second consumable if the printing apparatus is in the uncontracted state.
INK-JET RECORDING APPARATUS AND INK-JET RECORDING METHOD TO DETERMINE INK AMOUNT USING BAR CODE
An ink-jet recording apparatus includes a recording unit, a scanning unit, an acquisition unit, and a determination unit. In the recording unit, a plurality of nozzles to apply ink is arrayed. The scanning unit is configured to perform relative scanning with the recording unit on a recording medium. The acquisition unit is configured to acquire input image data that includes a bar code including a plurality of black bars and a plurality of white bars and having a length in a first direction that is greater than a length in a second direction crossing the first direction. The determination unit is configured to determine, based on lengths of the plurality of white bars in the second direction, an amount of ink to be applied to a black bar adjacent to a corresponding white bar in the second direction.
