Printing fluid supplies with displays
A print supply to connect to a printing device to provide a print material to the printing device that includes a machine and human readable print material gauge system, that includes an integrated circuit including a data interface to transfer print material level information describing a level of print material within the print supply and a display to represent the level of print material within the print supply.
Printer configured to set operation mode to one of first mode and second mode for appropriately determining whether to allow subsequent print control
A printer includes: a printing head; a conveyor; a cutter for cutting the medium to provide a segmented medium; a discharge roller; a counter roller; a sensor for detecting whether the segmented medium remains between the discharge roller and the counter roller; and a controller configured to perform: setting an operation mode to one of a first mode and a second mode depending on a medium kind; controlling the printing head and the conveyor to perform a first print control on the medium; controlling the sensor to detect whether the segmented medium has been removed; and permitting a second print control to be performed. When the operation mode is the first mode, the second print control is permitted after the sensor detects whether the segmented medium has been removed. When the operation mode is the first mode, the second print control is permitted without controlling the sensor.
RECORDING APPARATUS AND MEDIUM PROCESSING APPARATUS
In a printer, a display unit includes, in a housing, a light source, and a first light emitting portion having a first light emitting surface which emits light toward the outside of the housing with light emitted from the light source and a first light guiding portion which guides the light emitted from the light source to the first light emitting surface. Further, the display unit includes, in an opening/closing cover, a second light emitting portion having a second light emitting surface which emits light toward the outside of the housing with the light emitted from the first light emitting surface and a second light guiding portion which guides the light emitted from the first light emitting surface to the second light emitting surface.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
Instruction information on quality inspection of a printed matter is acquired, and it is determined whether the instruction information identifies an inspection target by identification information of an object or by coordinate information. An inspection position is identified in accordance with the determination result, and quality inspection of the printed matter is performed by using the identified inspection position.
Motor driving system
There is provided a motor driving system in which an encoder sensor is configured to move with a driven object with respect to an encoder scale and output an encoder signal. A controller is configured to control a motor based on the encoder signal, thereby controlling movement of the driven object. The controller estimates an obstructing area. In the obstructing area, the encoder sensor reads a part of the encoder scale where an obstacle is adhered. The controller calculates a control error of the motor in the obstructing area based on the encoder signal output after the encoder sensor passes through the obstructing area, and determines a compensation amount of a controlling input value input during a period while the encoder sensor passes through the obstructing area.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
In an image forming apparatus, in a case that a connected numerical key unit is a dedicated numerical key unit including a numerical key portion for executing, as predetermined processing, numerical value input processing for inputting information on a numerical value and including an operation key portion and a setting key portion for executing, as predetermined processing, another input processing for inputting information on an operation of the image forming apparatus other than the numerical value input processing (step S12; YES), a controller executes the predetermined processing in a case that either of the respective key portions is operated (step S13). On the other hand, in a case that the connected numerical key unit is a general-purpose numerical key unit different from the dedicated numerical key unit (step S1; NO), the controller executes the predetermined processing only in a case that the numerical key portion is operated (step S14).
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus main assembly including a panel surface 57 capable of inputting information by displaying a software numerical key portion 58 and a numerical key portion 206 comprised of a plurality of hardware keys, and is provided with a general-purpose numerical key unit 200 capable of inputting information to the apparatus main assembly. The panel surface 57 includes a plurality of software keys corresponding to the numerical key portion 206, and in a case that a “1” key 206a of the numerical key portion 206 is in an ON state, the ON state of the “1” key 206a is displayed by using a “1” key 58a corresponding to the “1” key 206a.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a display device that displays a plurality of setting items related to an operation of an electronic apparatus, an operation device and a touch panel to be operated by a user, and a controller that sets a value of each of the setting items on a screen of the display device according to an input made through the operation device and the touch panel, initializes the values of the respective setting items, when a total reset mode is set through the operation device and the touch panel, and initializes, when an individual reset mode is set through the operation device and the touch panel, and resetting of the setting items on the screen of the display device is instructed through the touch panel, the value of the setting item about which the resetting has been instructed.
