PRINTER
A printer includes a conveyor, a print head, a platen roller, an actuator, and a controller. The platen roller applies a conveying force by rotating while pinching a medium between the platen roller and the print head. The controller is configured to: enable a saving mode in which the print head is moved to a first position when a first area of the medium passes, and the print head is moved to a second position when a second area of the medium passes; detect a difference between a first conveyance amount of the medium when the actuator is in the saving mode, and a second conveyance amount of the medium when the print head is in the first position; and adjust a setting corresponding to the first conveyance amount so as to eliminate the difference.

PRINTER, PRINTER CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
A printer that performs, based on print data, print on a plurality of labels included in a label continuous body, the printer includes a backfeed control unit configured to backfeed the label continuous body and move a leading label to a print start position, and a print control unit configured to acquire a print start command after the backfeed control unit starts the backfeed, and perform the print on the label moved to the print start position.

Tape and Tape Cassette
A tape includes: a sheet; first and second media; a first separating line located between first and second media of one pair and extending between first and second ends of the sheet in a widthwise direction; a first cutting portion formed through the first medium and extending from a first end of the first medium to a first endpoint; a second cutting portion formed through the second medium and extending from a first end of the second medium to a second endpoint; and second and third separating lines extending in a longitudinal direction between the first endpoint and a first-medium end portion and between the second endpoint and a second-medium end portion, respectively. A side of the first endpoint on which the first-medium end portion is located is identical in the longitudinal direction to a side of the second endpoint on which the second-medium end portion is located.

TAPE CASSETTE AND TAPE CASSETTE UNIT
A tape cassette having a box-like case having first through sixth outer walls. The first and second outer walls extend in parallel and arranged in a first direction perpendicular to the first and second outer walls, the third and fourth outer walls extend in parallel and arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the third and fourth outer walls, the fifth and sixth outer walls extend in parallel and arranged in a third direction perpendicular to the fifth and sixth outer walls, and the first, second and third directions are perpendicular to each other. A discharging port is provided on the fourth outer wall, and a substrate having a storage storing electronically-retrievable information regarding the tape cassette. The substrate is provided to the third outer wall, and at least a part of the substrate overlaps at least a part of the discharge port in the second direction.

Printer, Printing System Including the Same, and Computer-Readable Medium Therefor
A printer includes a controller configured to perform a first printing process to control a thermal head to print a first image with a first density, store first print data for identifying the first image and first density data for identifying the first density into a first memory device attached to an attachment holder, when a second memory device storing second print data and second density data is attached to the attachment holder, acquire from the second memory device the second print data and the second density data stored into the second memory device by another printer, and perform a second printing process to control the thermal head to print a second image with a second density, the second image being identified based on the acquired second print data, the second density being identified based on the acquired second density data.
TAPE CARTRIDGE
A tape cartridge is detachably installed on a cartridge installation portion of a tape printing apparatus having a platen supporting shaft and a printing head. A base end of the platen supporting shaft is fixed to the cartridge installation portion at one end of the platen supporting shaft. The tape cartridge includes a platen roller, an upper bearing portion, a lower bearing portion, and a fitting portion. The platen roller includes an upper engagement portion and a lower engagement portion. The upper bearing portion rotatably supports the upper engagement portion and restricts movement of the upper engagement portion. The lower bearing portion rotatably supports the lower engagement portion and restricts movement of the lower engagement portion. A tip end of the platen supporting shaft passing through the platen roller fits in the fitting portion when the tape cartridge is installed on the cartridge installation portion.
