Media Processing Devices for Applying Printable Conductive Elements
A media processing device includes: a media processing head; a ribbon transport assembly configured to transport ribbon along a ribbon path between a ribbon dispenser and the media processing head; a graphite applicator disposed along the ribbon path, the graphite applicator configured to apply a combination of graphite and graphene to an active side of the ribbon via frictional engagement with the ribbon; and a media transport assembly configured to transport media from a media supply to the media processing head for transfer of at least a portion of the combination of graphite and graphene from the active side of the ribbon onto the media via application of at least one of heat and pressure at the media processing head.
Machine for printing images on articles by means of a thermal transfer roller
The printing machine (1) comprises: a supporting structure (11); a thermal transfer assembly (20) movable in a predetermined horizontal direction (21) and comprising a rotatable motorized transfer roller (30) and heating means (70, 71) associated to the transfer roller (30), wherein the transfer roller (30) and the associated heating means (70, 71) are movable vertically towards and away from a path of the articles (A) to be printed; and supply means (2; 12-16, 33-40) arranged to advance a printing ribbon (N) which on a side facing the articles (A) carries at predetermined intervals images formed of a thermally transferable ink. The thermal transfer assembly (20) further comprises first and second deviation rollers (35, 36) whose axes of rotation are horizontal and substantially parallel to one another and to the axis of rotation (x) of the transfer roller (30). The deviation rollers (35, 36) are arranged one upstream and the other downstream of the transfer roller (30) on the path of the printing ribbon (N) and are displaceable vertically towards and away from said path of the articles (A). The printing machine (1) further comprises first and second motor means (43, 44) associated each with a respective deviation roller (35, 36), said first and second motor means (43, 44) being controllable independently of one another, whereby each of the deviation rollers (35, 36) is selectively displaceable vertically independently of the other one.

RIBBON CARTRIDGE
A ribbon cartridge includes: a winding-side cylinder part that guides an ink ribbon and into which a winding shaft is inserted when the ribbon cartridge is installed in a cartridge installation part; a first ribbon guide that guides the ink ribbon at a position on a downstream side of the winding-side cylinder part in a feeding direction of the ink ribbon; and a second ribbon guide that guides the ink ribbon at a position on the downstream side of the ribbon guide in the feeding direction. The first ribbon guide is on an inner side of the second ribbon cartridge with respect to a guide imaginary line connecting the winding-side cylinder part and the second ribbon guide to each other when seen from a front side of the ribbon cartridge in an installation direction.
