It is intended to allow whether or not a noise included in a read image is a noise due to an ink ejection failure to be more reliably determined. An image reading device includes an image reading unit that reads an image formation surface of paper by using a reducing optical system and a control unit. The image reading unit includes a plurality of read sensors disposed at positions displaced from each other in a main scanning direction. The plurality of read sensors are disposed to be able to read the image formation surface by using at least a local region of the image formation surface as a common region to be read. The control unit determines, based on a first image obtained by a first read sensor included in the plurality of read sensors and on a second image obtained by a second read sensor included in the plurality of read sensors, an amount of displacement of a noise resulting from a parallax between the first read sensor and the second read sensor and determines, based on the amount of displacement, whether or not the noise is present on the image formation surface.

Disclosed is a printing device including at least one processor and a print head. The processor detects a nail region based on an image obtained by photographing a finger or a toe, sets at least a part of the detected nail region as a preceding print setting region, detects a region on which the preceding print is printed as a succeeding print region based on an image obtained by photographing the finger or the toe on which the preceding print is printed, sets a succeeding print region reference point corresponding to the succeeding print region, or sets a preceding print setting region reference point corresponding to the preceding print setting region and the succeeding print region reference point, and causes the print head to print a succeeding print on the nail region based on information on the preceding print setting region and a reference point that is set.

DUPLEX PRINTING AND CONDITIONING BASED ON INK DENSITY

Examples of duplex printing and conditioning based on ink density are described. In an example, an ink density for a first printed side and an ink density for a second printed side of a duplex page are determined. The duplex page is printed and conditioned based on a highest ink density of the first printed side and the second printed side.

Equipment and methods for treating objects

Machinery and techniques are disclosed for applying treatment processes to surfaces of objects arranged in a form of an array of objects, and for inspecting surface areas of the objects in such object arrays before and/or after applying the surface treatment processes thereto. The treated objects are held by an array of grippers/mandrels, each gripper/mandrel is configured to receive a respective object of the array, and to controllably generate gripping contact with internal surface(s) of the received object, for attaching the object thereto. A gripper of some embodiments comprises a body assembly configured to be at least partially received inside the object and comprising a hollow part extending along a length thereof, one or more friction imparting elements located in or on the body assembly and configured to change between an engaged state in which contact with inner surface of the object placed over the gripper is established therewith, and a released state in which there is no contact with the inner surface of the object, and an attachment mechanism configured to cause the one or more friction imparting elements to engage the inner surface of the object when said object is placed over the gripper.

METHOD FOR PRINTING A DECORATION, AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
20230322008 · 2023-10-12 ·

The disclosure relates to a method for printing a decoration to be printed onto a plurality of print surfaces by digital printing equipment. The method includes: providing a digital template and reference measurement data of a decoration to be printed, said data being hyperspectral and spatially resolved, printing the decoration to be printed onto a print surface using the digital template, measuring measured variables of the decoration printed on the print surface (20), thereby obtaining print measurement data that are hyperspectral and spatially resolved, comparing the print measurement data with the reference measurement data and determining a measure of deviation of the print measurement data (6) from the reference measurement data, modifying the digital template if the measure of the deviation meets a predetermined criterion, and repeating the above steps.

Pointer and inkjet printer including pointer

A pointer includes a case housing an LED device and including a light emission hole through which light from the device is emitted to an external space, a first plate between the device and the light emission hole and including a first light passage hole that allows passage of the light from the device, and a second plate between the first plate and the light emission hole and including a second light passage hole that allows passage of the light having passed through the first light passage hole. The light passage holes and the light emission hole are located on a central axis of the device. The device and the first and second plates are disposed such that H/2<S<H, where H denotes a distance between the device and the first plate, and S denotes a distance between the first and second plates.
