METHODS OF MANUFACTURING ARTICLES UTILIZING FOAM PARTICLES

Disclosed herein are cushioning elements comprising a first layer including a depression defined by a first surface, and a first component disposed within the depression of the first layer, the first component comprising a plurality of affixed foam particles. The cushioning element can optionally include a second surface opposing the first surface, defining an interior of a chamber that can be at least partially filled with a fluid. The first component can be thermally bonded or adhesively bonded to the first surface or the second surface. Methods for manufacturing the cushioning element, and articles including the cushioning element, including articles of footwear, apparel, and sporting equipment are also provided. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.

METHODS OF MANUFACTURING ARTICLES UTILIZING FOAM PARTICLES

Methods for manufacturing articles, including articles of footwear, apparel, and sporting equipment are provided. The methods comprise decorating a plurality of foam particles. The decorating can comprise applying a coating on the foam particles, or embossing or debossing the foam particles, or both. The decorating can comprise applying a coating on the foam particles by printing, painting, dyeing, applying a film, or any combination thereof. The plurality of foam particles are affixed utilizing aspects of additive manufacturing methods. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.

Method and apparatus for printing cylindrical structures

According to the invention there is an apparatus for printing onto cylindrical structures comprising: a plurality of inker devices each comprising a print cylinder and one or more servomotors for adjustably controlling the position or orientation of a print cylinder; a blanket device comprising a plurality of print blankets, in which the blanket device is configured to bring each print blanket into contact with the print cylinders to transfer ink from the print cylinders to the print blanket, and to bring each print blanket into contact with a cylindrical structure to achieve printing thereon; a transporter for transporting the cylindrical structures into and out of contact with the print blankets; and an automatic print correction system comprising a print inspection device for detecting a misregistration of ink transferred from one or more of the print cylinders onto a print blanket, and a controller for controlling the servomotors of the print cylinders to correct the misregistration in response to data received from the print inspection device.

Water pressure transfer method and water pressure transfer film

When water pressure transfer of decorative layer or layers is carried out on an article using a water pressure transfer sheet 202 having a non-extensible decorative layer 22 providing hologram function and an extensible decorative layer 24 of print pattern sequentially from a top of said water pressure transfer sheet, a plurality of preformed cracks 26 are formed in said non-extensible decorative layer 22 of said water pressure transfer sheet 201 before said water pressure transfer sheet 202 lands on water, then an activating agent for wetting and activating said extensible decorative layer 24 is applied, and thereafter said water pressure transfer sheet lands on the water whereby water pressure transfer is carried out having high profile followability.
