PRINTING APPARATUS AND PRINTING METHOD
A printing mode for performing printing to a printing medium and a determination mode for determining the application amount of a reaction liquid to a discharge medium can be performed. In the determination mode, a reaction liquid application unit forms a layer of the reaction liquid on the discharge medium, and then an ink application unit applies an ink onto a part of the layer to form a test pattern to be utilized for the determination. In the formation of the test pattern, an image to be formed by the ink by the aggregation of a solid content in the applied ink partially moves and shrinks on the layer of the reaction liquid to be thereby deformed with a grade according to the applied reaction liquid.
Ink Jet Recording Method
An ink jet recording method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a reaction liquid attachment step of attaching a reaction liquid to a fabric and an ink attachment step of attaching a white ink composition to the fabric with the attached reaction liquid, wherein the reaction liquid contains one or more selected from a polyvalent metal salt, a cationic polymer, and an organic acid as an aggregation agent, the white ink composition contains one or both of a white pigment and a resin particle, the reaction liquid attachment step and the ink attachment step are performed by an ink jet method, the ink jet method performs main scanning a plurality of times, the main scanning performing recording by moving an ink jet head in a direction perpendicular to a transport direction of the fabric, the reaction liquid and the white ink composition are attached to the same scanning region of the fabric by the same main scanning, the same main scanning is performed a plurality of times with respect to the same scanning region, and (amount of attachment in first pass)>(amount of attachment in nth pass) (amount of attachment in first pass)+(amount of attachment in nth pass)?20 mg/inch.sup.2, where a total amount of attachment per unit area of the reaction liquid and the white ink composition that are attached to the fabric by the first main scanning with respect to the same scanning region is denoted by amount of attachment in first pass, and a total amount of attachment per unit area of the reaction liquid and the white ink composition that are attached to the fabric by the nth main scanning is denoted by amount of attachment in nth pass, n being an integer of 2 or more.
A Method of Printing a Component in an Electrochemical Cell
A method of printing an electrolyte for an electrochemical cell, the method comprising: providing an ink, the ink comprising a solvent and an electrolyte-forming material, the electrolyte-forming material comprising an electrolyte species and a polymer: printing the ink onto a medium to form an ink layer on the medium; allowing the ink to dry or cure to cause the electrolyte forming material to form an electrolyte layer on the medium. Also provided are electrodes made using the method, electrolytic cells comprising the electrodes and articles comprising the electrolytic cells.
COLOR DEVELOPMENT WRITING COMPOSITIONS AND WRITING INSTRUMENTS
Writing compositions capable of undergoing a color development when brought into contact with a specific substrate including a color change-inducing compound are provided. Writing instruments comprising such writing compositions are also provided. Application of the writing compositions to surfaces other than the intended substrate will avoid color development and prevent staining of the unintended surfaces. The writing compositions include at least one mineral filler, at least one leuco dye, one or more lipids including one or more waxes, one or more fatty acids, or one or more fatty acid esters or fatty amides, titanium dioxide, and optionally at least one additive.
Knit textiles and uppers, and processes for making the same
Articles of wear having one or more textiles that include a low processing temperature polymeric composition and a high processing temperature polymeric composition, and methods of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The low processing temperature polymeric composition and the high processing temperature polymeric composition can be selectively incorporated into a textile to provide one or more structural properties and/or other advantageous properties to the article. The textile can be thermoformed to impart such structural and/or other advantageous properties to the article of wear. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
Treatment Liquid Composition For Ink Jet Textile Printing, Ink Set, And Ink Jet Recording Method
A treatment liquid composition for ink jet textile printing includes urea, sodium chlorate, polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of over 1000 and less than 10000, and water.
FIXING METHOD AND PRINTING APPARATUS
An object is to provide a method of appropriately drying a print medium. A fixing method includes: applying ink to the print medium; cooling the print medium to which the ink is applied in the applying; and heating the print medium cooled in the cooling while maintaining the print medium in a flat and smooth state.

Printing System And Method
A clean version of the amended Abstract is shown as follows: There is disclosed a method of printing onto the surface of a substrate, which method comprises i) coating a donor surface with a monolayer of particles, ii) treating the substrate surface to render at least selected regions tacky, and iii) contacting the substrate surface with the donor surface to cause particles to transfer from the donor surface only to the tacky regions of the substrate surface. After printing on a substrate, the donor surface returns to the coating station where the continuity of the monolayer is restored by recovering with fresh particles the regions of the donor surface exposed by the transfer of particles to the substrate.
