Linerless labels
Linerless labels are presented. A label includes a specific pattern or set of patterns of adhesive applied to one side of the label. The adhesive pattern(s) reduces contact between a cutter blade of a printer and the adhesive on the one side of the label. Moreover, the adhesive patterns reduce buildup of adhesive on the cutter blade and reduce buildup at specific locations on the cutter blade. That is, the adhesive patterns more evenly distribute adhesive buildup across the cutter blade. Consequently, the cutter blade can be used for a longer period of time before the cutter blade needs to be cleaned of the adhesive.
CONTROLLED DEPOSITION OF MATERIALS USING A DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE REGIME
Methods and devices for controlling pressures in microenvironments between a deposition apparatus and a substrate are provided. Each microenvironment is associated with an aperture of the deposition apparatus which can allow for control of the microenvironment.
Method for reducing thin films on low temperature substrates
A method for producing an electrically conductive thin film on a substrate is disclosed. Initially, a reducible metal compound and a reducing agent are dispersed in a liquid. The dispersion is then deposited on a substrate as a thin film. The thin film along with the substrate is subsequently exposed to a pulsed electromagnetic emission to chemically react with the reducible metal compound and the reducing agent such that the thin film becomes electrically conductive.
Printing mask and method of printing adhesive pattern
The present disclosure provides a printing mask and a method of printing an adhesive pattern with the printing mask. The printing mask includes: a screen including: an annular permeable region through which an adhesive permeates; and a barrier region which surrounds the annular permeable region and stops a permeation of the adhesive through the barrier region, the annular permeable region including an adjustment sub-region configured to increase a permeability of the adhesive, and the barrier region including barrier sub-regions respectively located on an inner side and an outer side of the corresponding adjustment sub-region; a first film covering a side of the barrier region; and a second film covering sides of the barrier sub-regions facing away from the first film.
Manufacturing system and method for inkjet printing flexible display device
A manufacturing system for an inkjet printing flexible display device includes a substrate input module, a substrate transferring module, a printing module, a post-printing processing module, a solid content detection module, a film packaging printing module, a film formation detection module, a substrate output module. At the same time, the functional modules are highly integrated and optimized in structure and layout. The manufacturing system for the inkjet printing flexible display device is suitable for industrial production and are adopted to monitor the manufacturing process by using a plurality of detection modules.
PRINTABLE ELECTRONIC GARMENT CONDUIT
An athletic garment includes sensors at different locations of the garment. The sensors are electrically coupled to a processing unit and/or a power source via one or more conduits that are printed onto the garment. The conduits are designed for improved flexibility to accommodate stretching in the garment that occurs as a user wearing the garment performs an exercise and for improved durability to resist corrosion due to friction, sweat, or washing of the garment. In one embodiment, the conduits are designed for decreased stress concentrations at seams of the garment. In one embodiment, the conduits are designed to create a conductive pathway between different surfaces of the garment to electrically couple sensors on a first side (skin side) of the garment and a processing unit and/or a power source on a second side (outer side) of the garment.
LABELS AND ROLLS WITH ADHESIVES TO STICK TO MOIST AND DRY SURFACES
A label is constructed with multiple separate adhesives or a mixture of a non-moisture activated adhesive and a moisture-activated adhesive and applied in multiple patterns on a backside of the label. The label maintains adhesive bonding characteristic when the backside of the label is affixed to dry, cool, warm, and wet surfaces.
PROCESS FOR FORMING A PAPER CONTAINER AND RELATED METHODS AND MATERIALS
Processes, assemblies, and sleeve blanks for forming a two-piece paper container are provided in which the sleeve blank includes an adhesive printed onto the sleeve blank while the sleeve blank is still part of the paper web. The adhesive can optionally be printed onto the sleeve blank in-line with printing a graphic on the sleeve blank prior to providing the sleeve blank to a container forming machine that wraps and seals the sleeve blank to a bottom blank.
Method and machine for the surface decoration of a ceramic article
A method and machine for the surface decoration of a basic article comprising ceramic material and having a surface and a printing assembly applies an adhesive material digitally and selectively onto a defined area of the surface. A treatment assembly deposits a powder material digitally and selectively in the defined area, and the powder material in excess arranged on the basic article is removed.
Creating morphing objects by inkjet printing thermoresponsive hydrogels
This document describes morphing objects that are created using hydrogels and techniques for creating and controlling the morphing objects. In one aspect, a method for creating a morphing object includes creating one or more heating elements on a substrate by applying one or more conductive traces onto at least one of a first surface of the substrate or a second surface of the substrate opposite the first surface and forming a hydrogel pattern on the first surface of the substrate by applying a hydrogel ink to the first surface of the substrate based on a predefined pattern.
