Each of the at least two layers has a different chemical composition. At least one layer of the at least two layers includes a first composition having flakes exhibiting full reflection of light received at a predetermined wavelength.

PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING DECORATIVE MULTILAYER COATINGS METHOD OF USE THEREOF

A process for optimizing the manufacture of decorative multilayer coatings for attachment to surfaces, including using a roll-to-roll printer to print a decorative layer on a surface of a film layer, wherein the decorative layer includes cutting lines and a first indication, using a curable roller coater to coat a layer on the surface above the print layer, using a laminator to laminate a mask over the print layer, using a cutter to cut the print layer into a cut print, and entering the cut print layer into a line printer to read the first indication and print a second indication on the cut print.

A method for printing a three-dimensional object includes printing a structural layer onto a three-dimensional object, printing a first color layer onto a first region of the structural layer, and printing a second color layer onto a second region of the structural layer. The first region includes a first structural thickness, and the second region includes a second structural thickness, which is different than the first structural thickness. The first color layer includes a first color and a first color thickness, and the first color thickness and the first structural thickness in combination form a target thickness. The second color layer includes a second color and a second color thickness, and the second color thickness and the second structural thickness in combination form the target thickness.

An image sheet capable of maintaining good image quality without a change in density or color in a low-density part of an image is provide. The image sheet for both transmitted light and reflected light includes: a base layer formed of a light-transmitting white resin film; a first image layer formed of a first color image formed on one surface of the base layer; a second image layer formed of a second white image formed on the first image layer so that a position of the same image as the first image is superimposed on the position of the first image; and a third image layer formed of a third color image formed on the second image layer so that a position of the same image as the first image is superimposed on the position of the first image.

INSTANT TICKET REDUNDANCY VIA MULTI-CHROMATIC INDICIA WITH PHOTORECEPTOR SENSITIVITY TO DIFFERENT WAVELENGTHS OF LIGHT
20220227157 · 2022-07-21 ·

A redundantly printed security-enhanced document, printing method, and system for better ensuring that the meaning of the information imparted by variable indicia printed by redundant printing indicia on a document protected by a removable Scratch-Off Coating (SOC). By printing the variable indicia with multiple colors, redundancy and integrity of the intended indicia is achieved relative to the perception of human eye photoreceptor cones. The redundantly printed document, methods, and systems enhance the overall appearance of the redundantly printed document, and reduce possible consequences resulting from misprinted variable indicia.

DETERMINING ALIGNMENT USING FIDUCIALS

A print apparatus is disclosed. In some examples, the print apparatus comprises a print head to deposit print agent onto a substrate; a detector to detect a fiducial; a first light source to back-illuminate the substrate, such that light from the first light source is to be detected by the detector through the substrate; and processing apparatus. The processing apparatus is to operate the print head to deposit print agent to form a first fiducial on a first side of the substrate, the first fiducial comprising a shape of a first colour and having a first dimension, and a background of print agent of a second, different colour, wherein the first dimension of the shape does not exceed a corresponding dimension of the background; operate the print head to deposit print agent to form a second fiducial on a second, opposite side of the substrate, the second fiducial comprising an inverted version of the shape of the first colour; operate the first light source to back-illuminate the substrate; operate the detector to detect the first and second fiducials; and determine whether the first fiducial is aligned with the second fiducial. A method and a machine-readable medium are also disclosed.

A method of producing an image recorded material is a method including an image recording of sequentially applying a pretreatment liquid containing an aggregating agent, a first ink containing a first resin, and a second ink containing a second resin onto an impermeable base material to record an image, in which in the image recording, the image is recorded under a condition in which a ratio of a total applied mass of the first resin and the second resin per unit area to an applied mass of the aggregating agent per unit area in an overlapping region formed such that a region where the pretreatment liquid is applied, a region where the first ink is applied, and a region where the second ink is applied overlap each other in plan view is generated is 16.0 or greater and 30.0 or less.

DROP-ON-DEMAND MULTI-PASS PRINTING ON PLASTIC CARDS

A multi-pass drop-on-demand (DOD) card printing mechanism that performs multi-pass DOD printing on a surface of a plastic card whereby the plastic card is transported past one or more DOD print heads multiple times for DOD printing on the card surface with each pass past the DOD print head(s). In a first printing pass, at least one material is applied to a surface of the plastic card using at least one DOD print head. In a second printing pass that occurs after the first printing pass, at least one additional material is applied to the surface of the plastic card in the card processing system using at least one DOD print head.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MEDICINAL PACKAGING

The invention relates to a system and a method for manufacturing a medical package, in particular a foil bag made of plastic. A print image with variable information comprising blank spaces is first applied by means of a thermal transfer printer. The blank spaces are filled by means of a hot stamp printing process.
