20230271442 · 2023-08-31 · ·

Provided are a novel printed base material and the like. In particular, provided is a printed base material comprising a printed area on a base material, wherein the printed area comprises a differently colored printed area having different colors separated by a clearance.

Printing system and method

A printing system and method print different colors onto a target object to form a machine-readable data representation having a symbol contrast of at least 40%. The printing system and method direct print heads to print the different colors by printing a base layer of a first color of the different colors on the target object and printing an upper layer of a different, second color of the different colors on top of the base layer of the first color, or by printing print the machine-readable data representation as an interdigitated data representation by printing the different colors onto the target object so that none of the different colors is printed on top of another color of the different colors.

METHOD OF TEMPLATE MANUFACTURING FOR PAPER DIE-CREASING AND FOLDING APPLICATION
20220134790 · 2022-05-05 ·

A method of template manufacturing for paper die-creasing and folding application is disclosed; first of all, an image file having die-creases is output to a UV inkjet printer first, and a template is disposed in the UV inkjet printer to allow the UV inkjet printer to print the image file on the template, thereby forming the image file having die-creases on the template; then the template with the image file having die-creases thereon is assembled onto a roller of a die-creasing machine to carry out a die-creasing process for paper materials.

In-line primer printing methods

A method of forming an image on a substrate that involves applying a radiation curable white inkjet ink composition comprising a radiation curable anti-wrinkle agent onto a surface of the substrate, exposing the radiation curable white inkjet ink composition to UV light having a wavelength of less than 200 nm to pin the radiation curable white inkjet ink composition and form a coated substrate having an arithmetical mean surface roughness value R.sub.a of less than or equal to 2.0 micrometers and an arithmetical mean surface roughness depth R.sub.z of less than or equal to 10.0 micrometers, applying a radiation curable CMYK inkjet ink composition onto the coated substrate, and curing with electron beam radiation.

In an example there is provided a printing method comprising receiving first and second image data for first and second images to be printed on a substrate, determining first print data for the first image on the basis of the first image data and a white layer to be printed between the first image and second image, to achieve a nominal color profile for the first image; determining second print data for the second image on the basis of the first image data, second image data, the white layer and one or more properties of the substrate to achieve a nominal color profile for the second image; communicating the print data for the first and second images to a printing device to print the first and second images and white layer on the substrate.

METHODS FOR PRINTING CONDUCTIVE INKS AND SUBSTRATES PRODUCED THEREOF
20210360786 · 2021-11-18 ·

Described herein are methods for printing conductive ink on a substrate. In one embodiment, the method for printing a conductive ink on a substrate, comprises (a) printing, using a printer, one or more layers of a non-conductive material on a surface of the substrate such that one or more channels are formed to produce a template on the surface of the substrate; and (b) printing one or more layers of the conductive ink within the one or more channels In another embodiment, substrates produced by the methods described herein are provided. In another embodiment, systems for implementing the procedures described herein are provided.

INK, INK SET, INK CONTAINER, RECORDING METHOD, AND RECORDING APPARATUS

Provided is an active-energy-ray-curable ink including at least a surface tension modifier and including a monomer having a surface tension of 39 mN/m or greater in an amount of 20% by mass or greater but 60% by mass or less. Preferably, the ink includes a monomer having a surface tension of 43 mN/m or greater in an amount of 5% by mass or greater but 10% by mass or less.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SECURING INKJET MICR PRINT WITH A SECONDARY PENETRATING INK
20220009260 · 2022-01-13 ·

A means and method to enhance the security of personalized and variable print-on-demand data on vital records or documents, such as checks, by inkjet printing. A specially formulated penetrating ink prints information on the front side to create an indelibly seamless “dual image” on the reverse side. The reverse image symbiotically complements the primary image on the print side to provide ease of authentication and tamper resistance. Specially formulated MICR ink is used to print information on the front side. Specially formulated penetrating may be different color. Either invisible ultraviolet fluorescent penetrating ink or visible penetrating ink may be used to create the image on the reverse side. The print side and reverse side are printed using single-pen printing by orienting inkjet two different pens in a series.

Printing device and printing method

A printing device prints an object on a medium by inkjet printing. The printing device includes: a glossy ink head that discharges ink droplets of a glossy ink having a glossy color; and a main scan driver that prompts the glossy ink head to perform main scans in which the glossy ink head discharges the ink droplets while moving in a predetermined main scanning direction. The glossy ink contains a glossy pigment. In the main scans, the glossy ink head discharges the ink droplets plural times while moving in the main scanning direction to form ink dots at positions on the medium aligned in the main scanning direction. The ink droplets discharged from the glossy ink head each have a volume constituting a size that allows for contact on the medium between any ones of dots formed in each one of the main scans.
