PRINTED MATTER, GLOSS IMPARTING METHOD, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PRINTED MATTER
A printed matter has a substrate and a glossy layer provided on the substrate. The substrate is at least one selected from the group consisting of a steel plate, a metal plate, a plastic plate, a film, a ceramic plate, concrete, wood, glass, and fabric (the substrate is not a transparent member), wherein the glossy layer comprises a translucent ink, wherein on a surface of the substrate, a first region including a first protrusion formed along a first direction in a plane and a second region including a second protrusion formed along a second direction different from the first direction are formed, and wherein the first protrusion includes a curved part which is curved from the first direction to the second direction and connected to the second region.
GIMMICK EXPRESION MEDIUM PRODUCING METHOD AND DATA PROCESSING METHOD FOR GIMMICK EXPRESSION MEDIUM
A gimmick expression medium producing method forms a gimmick expression medium 300. The gimmick expression medium 300 includes a retroreflective medium 1. A printing medium 301 placed on the retroreflective medium 1 includes a light-transmission layer 302. A gimmick print 303 which varies color of reflective light of the retroreflective medium 1 to produce a gimmick effect is printed on the light-transmission layer 302. The printing medium 301 is provided with a light-blocking layer 304 which partially blocks reflective light reflected by the retroreflective medium 1. The light-blocking layer 304 is composed of a white printing layer, and a reflection picture print 305 is printed on the light-blocking layer 304. The reflection pattern printing 305 and the gimmick print 303 are placed in adjacent to each other using a stripe-shaped (or dot-shaped) lattice pattern 306, printing which can be seen on a printed matter under normal illumination and printing which can be seen under light source such as flash light can be printed at one time (one-pass) by the same printer.
Textile substrate with visual components
Aspects are directed to a textile substrate with two or more ink layers and methods for printing a textile substrate. The two or more ink layers may include one or more visual components that form graphics or images that are visible to an observer when viewing the textile substrate from different angles.
Information recording body, medium and printed product
The objective of the present invention is to provide an information recording body, a medium and a printed product having improved design properties. An information recording body provided with a superimposed image including a brilliant layer and a transparent layer formed on the brilliant layer is characterized in that: the brilliant layer is a chromatic color image formed from a brilliant material; the transparent layer is a regular pattern image formed from a transparent starting material; the transparent starting material is configured in such a way that an amount of light reflected therefrom differs depending on an observation angle; and the superimposed image is formed in such a way that the transparent layer is recognizable in accordance with a specific observation angle.
Wood grain color reproduction method
A method of manufacturing a wood stain display sample includes optically scanning a wood sample including a wood stain with a computing device to generate a digital image of the wood stain. The method includes altering the digital image by adjusting a color of one or more portions of the digital image to correlate the color of the one or more portions to a color gamut of a xerographic printing process to form a color-adjusted digital image. The method includes printing the color-adjusted digital image to a substrate using a xerographic printing process to form the wood stain display sample. The printing includes printing an underlay toner to the substrate. The underlay toner includes a white or a transparent color. The printing includes printing a yellow, magenta, cyan, and black toner over the underlay toner. The printing includes printing an overlay toner to the black toner.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ULTRAVIOLET REFLECTIVE PHOTOREALISTIC IMAGE
A method for producing a target including halftone printing an ink, by a printer, onto at least one ultraviolet reflective substrate. The method further includes applying at least one overlay material, by at least one overlay device, onto the at least one ultraviolet reflective substrate such that a photorealistic visible image and a photorealistic non-visible image are dually formed on the at least one ultraviolet reflective substrate.
Image Sheet and Method for Producing the Same
An image sheet capable of maintaining good image quality without a change in density or color in a low-density part of an image is provide. The image sheet for both transmitted light and reflected light includes: a base layer formed of a light-transmitting white resin film; a first image layer formed of a first color image formed on one surface of the base layer; a second image layer formed of a second white image formed on the first image layer so that a position of the same image as the first image is superimposed on the position of the first image; and a third image layer formed of a third color image formed on the second image layer so that a position of the same image as the first image is superimposed on the position of the first image.
Recording method, recording apparatus and recorded matter
A recording method includes a step of applying a first ink to a recording medium; and a step of recording an image on the recording medium by applying a second ink so that the second ink at least partially overlaps a region to which the first ink has been applied. The first ink is an aqueous ink containing a silver particle. The second ink is an aqueous ink containing a coloring material. The recording medium has an ink receiving layer that contains a halide ion selected from the group consisting of a bromide ion and an iodide ion. The ink receiving layer has a halide ion content (mmol/m.sup.2) of 0.1 mmol/m.sup.2 or more to 0.8 mmol/m.sup.2 or less.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS AND LIQUID DISCHARGE METHOD
A liquid discharge apparatus (1) includes a first liquid application device (10) configured to apply a first liquid containing an active energy ray curable liquid, onto a recording medium (19); a second liquid application device (12-15) configured to discharge, by an inkjet method, a plurality of second liquids each of which is an active energy ray curable liquid containing a colorant different from each other; an irradiation device (18) configured to irradiate, with an active energy ray, the first liquid and the plurality of second liquids. The liquid discharge apparatus (1) further includes a controller configured to control the first liquid application device (10), the second liquid application device (12-15), and the irradiation device (18). The controller causes the second liquid application device (12-15) to apply the plurality of second liquids onto the first liquid according to image data, to form a plane pattern group.
