INK JET RECORDING METHOD AND INK JET RECORDING APPARATUS

Provided is an ink jet recording method that enables recording of an image with a wide expressible color gamut and high fluorescence intensity. The ink jet recording method comprises a step of recording an image by applying first and second inks to a recording medium by using an ink jet recording apparatus, including a recording head having ejection orifices configured to eject the first and second inks, respectively, such that an area where the first ink is applied and an area where the second ink is applied at least partially overlap each other. The first ink contains an alkaline buffer and a pigment particle dispersed by an effect of an anionic group, the second ink contains a fluorescent particle dispersed by an effect of an anionic group, and a density ρ.sub.1 (g/cm.sup.3) of the pigment particle is more than a density ρ.sub.2 (g/cm.sup.3) of the fluorescent particle.

PRINTING APPARATUS AND PRINTING METHOD

A printing apparatus comprises a decision unit configured to decide a ratio of ink application amounts of the fluorescent ink and the other ink respectively in each of the plurality of scans. The decision unit decides the ratio of the ink application amount of the fluorescent ink in each of the plurality of scans so that the amount of the coloring material of the fluorescent ink in a surface of an ink layer of the printing medium is less than the amount of the coloring material of the fluorescent ink in an inside of the ink layer of the printing medium.

PRINTING APPARATUS AND PRINTING METHOD

A printing apparatus comprises a determination unit configured to, in a case where fluorescent ink is used in printing of an image, determine an order of printing by the fluorescent ink and printing by the light emission suppressing ink that suppresses light emission of the fluorescent ink, in the plurality of scans. The determination unit determines the order of the printing by the fluorescent ink and the printing by the light emission suppressing ink such that the fluorescent ink is printed to be in a layer lower than the light emission suppressing ink in a region of a dark portion of the image.

Thermally expandable sheet and thermally expandable sheet production method

A thermally expandable sheet in which a thermally expansive layer that contains a thermally expandable material is formed on one side of a base, and where the thermally expansive layer is distended, the base deforms following distension of the thermally expansive layer and the base deforms into an embossed shape.

FOAMED PRODUCT, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FOAMED PRODUCT, AND FOAMING APPARATUS

Provided are a foamed product with a high level of design, and the like. The problem is solved by a foamed product including: a foam medium with a first part protruded by foaming and a second part that is lower than the first part; and a decorative part with a plurality of decorative particles, formed only in the second part of the first part and the second part, and a manufacturing method for a foamed product, including: a first step of foaming a foam medium to form, in the foam medium, a first part protruded by the foaming and a second part that is lower than the first part; and a second step of fixing a plurality of decorative particles only to the second part of the first part and the second part.
