RECORDING MEDIUM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING RECORDED MATTER HAVING THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE
A recording medium for producing a recorded matter having a three-dimensional image comprises: a substrate; and a foaming layer being provided on the substrate and containing a foaming material which foams with heat and a binder resin. A contact angle of water to a surface of the foaming layer 30 seconds after the water is brought into contact with the surface of the foaming layer is 30° or more and 80° or less, and a ratio of a diameter of a water droplet 30 seconds after the water is brought into contact with the surface of the foaming layer to a diameter of the water droplet 0.01 seconds after the water is brought into contact with the surface of the foaming layer is 1.3 times or less.
Manufacturing method for printed matter, manufacturing method for foam, foaming inhibition ink, forming method for three-dimensional formed object, and forming system for three-dimensional formed object
Provided are a manufacturing method for a foamable printed matter, a manufacturing method for a foam and a foaming inhibition ink. The manufacturing method for a printed matter is a manufacturing method for a foamable printed matter that foams to form an irregular pattern on its surface, the method including a printing step of inkjet-printing a foaming inhibition ink on a printing medium having a layer of a foamable resin composition containing a chemical foaming agent, under a temperature condition lower than a softening temperature of the foamable resin composition, the foaming inhibition ink containing: a foaming inhibitor that deteriorates a heat decomposing ability of the foamable resin composition; and a solvent that dissolves the foaming inhibitor when the foaming inhibitor is solid, is compatible with the foaming inhibitor when the foaming inhibitor is liquid, and is able to move the foaming inhibitor into the foamable resin composition.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROCESSING TESSELLATED GRAPHICS FOR DIGITAL PRINTING
A method for printing a product that includes a graphic that is tessellated includes receiving or generating the graphic and a tessellation pattern for the graphic; determining a first repeated swath using at least the graphic and the tessellation pattern, wherein the product to be printed includes at least two instances of the first repeated swath, wherein the first repeated swath includes i) at least two full copies of the graphic, ii) at least two partial copies of the graphic; or iii) at least one full copy and at least one partial copy of the graphic; generating raster data of the first repeated swath; and printing the product using the raster data of the first repeated swath to print the first repeated swath at least twice

Printed substrate and method for printing onto a substrate
A printed substrate, wherein a printed polymer layer is present on a surface of the substrate, is disclosed. The printed polymer layer includes a polymer selected from group consisting of one or more of polyvinyl chloride, a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate, and a terpolymer of vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and ethylene; a plasticizer; a colorant; and calcium carbonate.
INKJET PRINTING METHOD AND INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS
An inkjet printing method including: discharging ink contained in an ink storage unit, from a nozzle of a nozzle forming surface of a discharging unit; and supplying the ink from the ink storage unit to the discharging unit. The ink includes specific components and satisfies a specific relation between dynamic surface tension and time. The supplying includes: forming a closed space by covering the nozzle forming surface with a lid member, and freely controlling a pressure between the discharging unit and the ink storage unit; and forming an open space by opening the lid member on the nozzle forming surface, and setting the pressure to be the same as atmospheric pressure. A negative pressure difference between the ink storage unit and the discharging unit is 70-120 mmAq before discharge of the ink, 30-80 mmAq during the discharging, and the former is equal to or greater than the latter.
