Printable medium

A printable medium with a supporting base substrate that has, on its image side, a substrate sizing layer and an image receiving layer, and having, on its back-side a fabric backing and barrel layer with flame retardancy. Also disclosed are the method for making such printable medium and the method for producing printed images.

FOIL IMAGE FORMATION METHOD

The present invention addresses at least the problem of providing a method for forming a high-resolution foil image regardless of the hydrophilicity of a recording medium. In order to solve said problem, the present invention provides a method wherein an adhesive ink that is formed by dispersing or dissolving a polymer resin in water and in a water-soluble organic solvent is used as an adhesive for a foil, the adhesive is applied by means of inkjet printing, and a foil image is formed. The polymer resin of the adhesive ink is a polymer of a monomer that includes (meth)acrylic acid and a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester having a C.sub.2-12 alkyl group, the acid value of the polymer resin being 50-120 mg KOH/g, and the glass transition temperature of the polymer resin being 30-110 C.

Printable media

A printable recording media including a composite base substrate that contains, at least, two constituent material layers that are laminated together with a flame resistant adhesion layer containing an adhesive compound and up to 50% of a flame retardant agent by total weight of the flame resistant adhesion layer, wherein, at least, one of the constituent material layer is a fiber layer; and an image receiving layer that is coated on one side of the composite supporting substrate. Also disclosed are the method for making such printable recording media and the method for producing printed images on such printable recording media.

RECORDING MEDIUM, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RECORDED MATTER HAVING STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE
20250296290 · 2025-09-25 ·

A recording medium for stereoscopic image formation includes a substrate and a foam layer provided on the substrate and containing a microcapsule-type foam particle that foams by heat, a water-insoluble thermoplastic resin, and a polyvinyl alcohol. The thermoplastic resin is dispersed in the foam layer by a surfactant. The polyvinyl alcohol has a saponification degree of 70% or more and 92% or less and a polymerization degree of 1,000 or less. The mass ratio of the content (mass %) of the polyvinyl alcohol to the content (mass %) of the thermoplastic resin in the foam layer is 0.10 or more and 0.40 or less.

Method for producing recorded matter having three-dimensional image, device for producing recorded matter having three-dimensional image, and foam-promoting liquid

A recorded matter having a three-dimensional image is produced by a method comprising the steps of: applying, to a recording medium including a substrate and a foaming layer provided thereon, a foam-promoting liquid containing water and a foam-promoting component; and heating the foaming layer. The foaming layer contains a binder resin and a foaming particle which foams as heated, while the foam-promoting component lowers a foaming start temperature of the foaming particle. The foaming particle includes a shell layer containing a thermoplastic resin and a volatile material encapsulated in the shell layer. The binder resin contains a water-insoluble resin, while the foam-promoting component contains a compound having no hydroxyl group.
